Hanging Lake Hike - Colorado
A few years back I visited the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Near Glenwood Springs there is a fantastic hike to Hanging Lake. This is the Colorado River at the base of the hike.
I visited in fall as well. Check out the colour on those trees!
The trail is pretty much up the whole way, but what views! It's about 300m in elevation over 2.6km.
The lake did not disappoint. It was breathtakingly beautiful.
Just a few more pics of the surrounds on the way back to the car.
It's certainly a beautiful part of the world. It's worth the effort if you ever get the chance.

Looks like my sortnof place mate. I’m make it to the States one day and hope to hike in Colorado.
The USA has such variable countryside. It's worth exploring. I'm lucky my little bro lives in Denver so have spent some time in the Rockies. Awe-inspiring, breathtaking scenery up there

Actually, you're not allowed to unfortunately. There was an incident last year where someone was swimming for a photo shoot, it was very much frowned upon.

I would never ignore a sign for my own safety. I usually swim on ponds but safe where I live.
