I used to order cases of wine from a wine broker. She calls herself the Wine Diva. Her wines are mostly imports, from Germany, mostly. It was her who introduced me to Dornfelder and Icewines. I learned to love Roquefort with Icewines from her. We would have wine tastings at home, and she'd come and give us all some education on wine terminologies, and pairings... those were the days. Now, I just have one favorite... Pinot Noir!
Nah, I am a light-weight when it comes to wine and alochol in general. I mostly give wine as gifts rather than drinking them myself. I am supporting this startup company, which combines good wine with a 'raffle'-like business concept. They are based in SF, and have their cellar in Napa Valley.
