Dhanushkodi is that narrow, salty sandy, watery pieces of non-water area - something that remains after a cyclone few decades ago.
The land is very interesting as you can touch Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean with your hands - ie without moving an inch. The water of the two seas which is separated by say 2 meters in some places, looks and feels very different too.
The Railway bridge
The bridge namely Pampan Bridge is a railway bridge connecting the Indian subcontinent with Rameswaram & the legendary Engineer, Mr E Sreedhran re-constructed the bridge demolished by the cylone in record 3 months.
