Sunrise over India - Landscape Photography Challenge
Taken from Poon Hill, a few days trek from Pokhara in Nepal, this image shows the sun rising over India. The vast Indian plains, as seen from the edge of the Himalayan Mountains are buried beneath cloud in this shot.
Canon 500D with 55-250mm Canon Lens
So a pretty high hill then? XD Descending into those clouds must be something :O
Not by Himalayan standards I don't think. Its about 3200 m from memory, but the view is spectacular. You have to climb the last 500 m in the dark to get there by sunrise though. The guide was a lot fitter than me. It nearly killed me :)
