It's Beach Wednesday... Do I see a beach...??

This......
is the view that greets you when you arrive at Uluwatu, Bali, near the temple site!
There is this chest-high wall at the edge looking down to the sea and 'beach', while the temple sits high at the top of the steps leading along a crooked path upwards on the right
One can't help but get as close as possible to the rough wall and stare out to sea...
and down........
.........down............
............down................

Ok, I say 'beach' even though it was high tide when we got there and technically there wasn't a visible beach... lol, but you can almost see it... except the sea kept coming in and covering it
But what a view... It definitely was a breath-taking site, errr... sight!
See what I mean...

The white surf sweeping in was fabulous!
Coupled with the steep drop of the cliff, the scene was mesmerising...
hypnotising, even
Add a lovely sea breeze in-coming, and the spray and smell of salt
in the air!
Heavenly!

We stayed awhile even after the sun dropped down beyond the horizon but the beach had yet to reveal itself, almost... but not yet
Low tide might have been after twilight and the grounds were shutting down, and sadly, we had to leave
