La fattoria degli animali è un romanzo di George Orwell che rappresenta una feroce satira sul totalitarismo di Stalin. La fattoria degli animali si riferisce agli avvenimenti della guerra civile di Spagna (1936-1939), cui Orwell partecipa tra le file dei trotzkisti, e a quelli della Seconda guerra Mondiale, dipingendo, attraverso la storia della ribellione di un gruppo di animali agli uomini, gli esiti della dittatura staliniana in URSS. Per questo il motivo, il romanzo, finito nel 1943, poté essere pubblicato solo nel 1945.
Ul libro che ritengo geniale, scorrevole, veramente un racconto che fa riflettere su quello che è stato ma allo stesso tempo su quello che è e quello che sarà.
