Kraken Basics - How to create and verify an account, securing an account, funding and withdrawing your Bitcoins on the Kraken trading platform

How to create a Kraken account?
You can create an account directly on Kraken's front page. Input your email and your desired username and password. Tick “ I agree to Kraken's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy” and click on the “Sign up” button.
Then an activation key or link will be sent to you via email. You can opt to click the link or manually enter the key to the activation page.
Once activated, you should now be able to access your account.
How to get your account verified?
Before you could start funding and trading at Kraken, you would need to provide additional user information to meet the KYC/AML legal requirements. Kraken provides multiple tier levels of funding limits, each with increasing amounts of deposit/withdraw limits.
To get verified, login to your Kraken account and got to Account>Get Verified and input necessary details until you meet your desired tier level. The higher the level, the higher limits you get.
We strongly recommend you to verify your account up to "Tier 3" or up because exchanges are able to delete or block unverified accounts and accounts which are in bad standing.
How to fund your Kraken account?
Login to your account and go to Account>Funding>Deposit as shown below. Kraken allows deposits from EUR, CAD, JPY, BTC and other selected cryptocurrencies.
For this example, we are going to use Litecoin deposit. Click on Litecoin (LTC) and generate a new address. Use the address or the QR code as your receiving address when sending or buying Litecoins from a third party exchange or agent.
Once the transaction is confirmed in the blockchain, your Litecoin wallet is funded.
Same thing also goes with other cryptocurrencies.
For Euro deposits, Kraken offers Fidor Bank AG (SEPA) & (Wire Transfer). While SBI Sumishin Net Bank (Wire Transfer) is available for Canadian dollar deposits.
How to withdraw funds from Kraken?
Go to the Withdraw page by clicking on Funding>Withdraw as shown below.
Choose from the list of currencies on the side the currency you want to withdraw by clicking it and select an available withdraw method. In this example, we will use Bitcoin withdrawal method.
Scroll down at the bottom of the page to fill up the withdrawal form. If it is your first time to withdraw, click on "+Add address" button.
Next, type in an identification for your address and your bitcoin address. Then click "Save Address" button.
Once done, your bitcoin address will then be added on the dropdown box. Select the address and input the amount you want to withdraw. Then, click on the withdraw button.
Once you click the withdraw button, Kraken will verify the transaction. It will either be an confirmation email will be sent to you or you will need to complete 2FA.
