아름다운 동해안 모래사장이 사라져가고 있습니다. [The beautiful east coast sandy beach is disappearing]

제 눈으로 직접 목격한 동해안 해수욕장의 모래사장 침식은 심각해보였습니다.

The erosion of the sandy beaches of Donghaean Beach, which I witnessed with my own eyes, seemed serious.

어렸을 적에도 워낙 동해안 해수욕장은 서해안 해수욕장보다 바다로의 경사면이 더 급하기는 했었지만 요즘은 파도가 부서지는 곳에서 불과 몇 미터 가지 않더라도 사람의 키를 넘어버릴 정도의 깊이가 있는 곳이 많다고 합니다.

Even though I was a child, the east coast beaches had more slopes to the sea than the west coast beaches, but nowadays, there are many places deep enough to go beyond the height of people even if they are only a few meters away from the waves.

물론 이런 내용은 몸소 직접 체험해보지 않았지만 쓸려나간 모래사장의 침식 만으로도 충분히 가늠할 수 있었습니다.

Of course, I did not experience this personally, but I was able to fully appreciate the erosion of sandy beaches that were washed away.

또한 이번에 동해안을 보며 예전에 알지 못했었던 내용은 서핑보드를 대여해 주는 곳이 아주 많이 제 눈에 띄었다는 사실입니다.

여름철 고무튜브를 빌려주는 곳은 당연히 많이 보았었지만 이렇게나 서핑보드를 대여해주는 곳이 많은 것은 정말 낯설었습니다.

I also saw many places that rent surfboards that I did not know before.
I've seen a lot of places to rent rubber tubes in the summer, but it's really strange that there are so many places to rent surfboards like this.

물론 한국의 여름놀이 문화도 많이 바뀌긴 했지만 이렇게 급격한 변화는 제게 무척 특이하게 느껴진 것은 사실입니다.

Of course, the summer play culture of Korea has changed a lot, but it is true that such a rapid change seemed very special to me.

여름에는 피서객이 많기도 하거니와 지금이 파도가 좋다는 이유로 평일에도 서핑을 즐기러 바다에 몸을 맡기고 있는 사람들의 모습도 신선하였습니다.

그러나 다른 한편으로 예전에는 분명 멀리있던 파도가 하얀색의 물살을 일으키며 다가오는 것을 자주 목격했던 기억은 없었는데 제가 이번에 보게 된 동해바다는 쉬지 않고 하얀색의 물살을 계속 보여주고 있었습니다.

There are many vacationers in the summer, but the people who enjoy surfing on weekdays are fresh because the waves are good for surfing.

However, on the other hand, there was no memory of the waves that were far away, and I often witnessed the approaching white water, and the sea of the East Sea that I saw this time was showing the white water constantly.

해안침식에 관해서는 무분별한 바닷가 주변 개별과 지구 온난화로 인한 바다면의 상승 그리고 파고의 상승 등 다양한 사유가 있다고 합니다.

동해안 해수욕장들의 경우 여름철 피서객 유치에도 큰 문제가 있어 모래를 열심히 퍼 나르며 침식된 모래사장을 늘이기 위해 고군분투하고 있지만 녹록지 않은 상황인가 봅니다.

As for coastal erosion, it is said that there are various reasons such as the increase of sea surface rise and wave size due to individual and global warming around the seaside.

The East Coast beaches are struggling to increase the number of eroded sandy beaches because they have a big problem in attracting visitors in the summer, but it is not easy.

지금 제가 이 상황에서 할 수 있는 일은 모래를 퍼나를 수는 없기에 지구 온난화를 막을 수 있는 환경보호에 반하는 행동을 줄이는 것만이 유일한 길이라 생각되네요.

무척이나 예쁜 대한민국의 동해를 제가 더 나이를 먹고나서도 보고 싶다는 생각이들어 더 안타깝습니다.

Now I can not do stuffing sand on sandy beaches, so I think it is the only way to reduce the environmental protection against global warming.
I am very sad because I think that I want to keep seeing the sandy beach of Korea 's beautiful East Sea by the age.
