cheongchul-eolam 청출어람(靑出於藍)

'푸른색은 쪽[藍]에서 나왔지만 쪽빛보다 더 푸르다'라는 뜻으로, 제자가 스승보다 더 나음을 비유하는 고사성어로 사용된다.
靑 : 푸를 청
出 : 날 출
於 : 어조사 어
藍 : 쪽 람

'Blue color is from [藍], but it is greener than indigo', meaning that the disciple is used as a companion word comparing to better than the teacher.

'청출어람'이란 고사성어를 오늘 포스팅에 사용하는 이유는 어제 롯데123타워 사진 때문입니다.

The reason why I use the term "cheongchul-eolam" as a post today is because of the Lotte 123 tower photo.

어제 롯데123타워가 위치한 잠실에서 불꽃놀이를 개최한다는 사실은 알고 있었지만
엉덩이가 무거워진 저는 집에서 이 사진을 담아 화각의 아쉬움을 많이 느꼈습니다.

I knew that yesterday I held fireworks in Jamsil where Lotte 123 Tower is located
I did not leave the house because I thought it was annoying to leave house.
I took a picture at home and felt a lot of regrets because the photo of fireworks was not big.

하지만 중학생인 아들녀석은 자전거를 타고 잠실까지 가서 화각으로 훨씬 좋은 사진을 담았네요.

But the middle school student son went to Jamsil on a bicycle and put a much better picture in the field of view.

사진의 완성도 보다도 한 장의 사진을 얻기위한 아들녀석의 노력에 박수를 보냅니다.
'공짜란 없다'라는 제 집 가훈에 걸맞는 행동은 한 장의 사진을 얻기 위한 상황에서도 그대로 적응됩니다.

I applaud my son's efforts to get one more picture than the completeness of the picture.
The behavior that is right for my house, "no free in the world", is adapted to the situation for getting one picture.

날아가는 새 사진, 높은 바위를 오르기 위한 산양의 도약하는 사진, 하늘을 가르며 솟아오르는 태양 사진 그 무엇 하나 멋진 사진들은 공짜로 얻어지는 것이 아닌데

A bird photographs flying high into the sky, a leaping goat for climbing high rocks, and a sun rising over the sky. Some nice photos are not getting for free.

이제 아들녀석의 사진이 제가 찍은 사진보다 더 나은것 같습니다. 제게 배웠지만 이 정도면 사진은 분명 '청출어람'이란 고사성어가 딱 맞는 표현같네요. ^^

Now my son's picture is better than the picture I took. I have learned to do this, but this picture is obviously a perfect expression of the word 'cheongchul-eolam'. ^^
