Which place is good to live in? There are many requirements, but in my opinion, how green near home is the most important.
어떤 곳이 살기 좋은 곳일까? 여러가지 요건이 있겠지만 필자의 기준엔 단연코 주변에 있는 녹지 환경이다.
どんなところが住みやすい所なのか? 様々な要件があるが、筆者の基準には断然周辺にある緑地環境である。

I have lived in the same area for 14 years. Considering this area has been built not so long ago, there are many greens. For only this reason, even though the price of housing is not highly valued, I do not feel like moving to another place.
필자는 14년간 같은 지역에 살고 있다. 살면서 느낀건 신도시치고는 녹지비율이 매우 높다는 것이다. 그래서 집값이 크게 오르지는 않지만 다른 곳으로 이사할 마음이 없다.
筆者は14年間、同じ地域に住んでいる。 生きてみて思ったのは新都市にしては緑地の割合が非常に高いということだ。 それで住宅価格が大幅に上がることはないが、他のところへ引っ越すつもりはない。

There is a big park across a street from my home. The park is decorated like the Old Palace of Chosun dynasty, therefore in the distant appearance, it seems that I am in the old palace.
필자의 집에서 큰 길 하나를 건너면 큰 공원이 있다. 이 공원엔 조선의 궁궐처럼 꾸며놓은 곳이 있는데 멀리서 보면 고궁에 와있는 착각이 들기도 한다.
筆者の家で大きな道一つを渡れば大きな公園がある。 この公園は朝鮮の宮殿のように見せかけておいたところがあって、遠くから見れば、古宮に来ている気がしたりもする。

There is a big and a small ponds. There are carps, ducks, and turtles in the pond. Visitors can enjoy the tranquil scenery of the ponds sitting in Jung-ja.
크고 작은 연못이 있는데 그 연못엔 잉어, 오리, 거북이 등이 살고 있다. 연못 한편에 서있는 정자에선 고즈넉한 풍경을 감상할 수 있다.
大小の池があるが、その池には鯉、鴨、亀などが住んでいる。 池の片隅に立っている精子では静かな風景を鑑賞することができる。

With a closer look, you cannot miss inadequacy when comparing it with the Old Palaces. But it is sufficient to be in the mood enjoying scenery in the Old Palaces.
자세히 다가가 보면 조선 궁궐의 그것과는 비할 바 못되지만 운치를 즐기기엔 그런데로 넉넉하다.
詳細に近づいて見ると、朝鮮時代の宮殿のそれとは比べものにならないが、風情を楽しむのはそうなので十分だ。

A rice-straw roofed cottage has been restored. The land-lord would be considered rich living in this sized building.
조선시대의 초가집도 재현되어 있다. 당시 이만한 집에 산다면 넉넉했을 것이다.
朝鮮時代のわらぶきの家も再現されている。 当時、これだけの家に住んでいれば、豊かたのだ。

The persimmon is still hanging on the edge of the tree. It's nice to see the traces of last fall.
아직 감이 나무 끝에 달려있다. 지난 가을의 흔적을 발견한 듯하여 반갑다.
柿が木にかかっている。去年の秋の跡を発見したようでうれしい。

An old tree is looking down upon me. " Are you come again? "
수령을 알 수 없는 늙은 나무가 나를 굽어본다. "자네 또 왔는가?"
年を知ることができない老いた木が私を見下ろしている。 "君また来たのか?"

A lightly sloping lawn. In the last summer, the children played yelling here.
약간 경사진 곳에 위치한 잔디밭. 한 여름에 뛰놀던 아이들 소리가 귓가에 선하다.
やや傾斜しているところに位置した芝生。ひと夏に遊んでいた子供らの音が耳元に浮かぶ。

There is an outdoor concert hall at the entrance to the park. Ten thousand people are fully accommodated. There are performances every Saturday in the summer.
공원 초입엔 야외공연장이 있다. 1만명은 넉넉히 수용할 수 있는 규모다. 여름엔 토요일마다 공연이 있다.
公園の入り口には野外公演場がある。 万人は十分に収容できる規模だ。 夏には土曜日ごとに公演がある。

I ran into a rabbit. It lies down on the fallen leaves in camouflage.
우연히 만난 토끼 한마리. 위장한 듯 낙엽 위에 가만히 엎드려 있다.
偶然に会ったウサギ一匹。 偽装したように落ち葉の上にじっとして伏せている。

A pet cat became a wild animal. I hope the rabbit not to get caught by it.
어느새 야생동물이 된 집 고양이. 아까 그 토끼가 이 고양이를 잘 피해 다녀야 할텐데...
いつのまにか野生動物になったペット猫。さっきそのうさぎがこの猫をよく被害通えばいいのに...
