두번째 요나르요르손 작품이다
두껍지만 왠지 지루하지 않을 것 같은 느낌으로 시작했다.
역시 실망시키지 않고,
디테일하고 상상력 높은 작품이었다.

중간중간에 내용을 요약해주는 재미도 있다.
놈베코의 지식은 책에서 나왔다.
책을 통해 누구보다도 유식하고 지혜롭게 해쳐나갔다.
아무것도 없는 가운데
그 유식함이 살렸다.

다이아몬드가 생겼을때 고생 끝 인줄 알았더니
한순간에 불에 타버렸을때(돈)
좌절하지 않는 대담함, 그래 처음부터 자기것은 아니었기에..
이렇게 생각하는 사람이 별로 없다
한번이라도 내꺼가 한번 되면 영원할 줄 안다.
