It'll depend a bit on what restaurant but by-and-large the vast majority seen in the States are the "snap-apart" wooden ones that we see in take-out places - medium length with thick rectangular or rounded bodies. If we go to some old-style or high-end Korean restaurants in the city, we'll get the thin metal kinds. =)

Oh I guess this is a no-brainer but another big preference for metal is also since we do Korean BBQ and don't want to burn wood/plastic on an open grill =P
