In response to this,

I am starting the course.
How to read out basic characters
A Consonant + A Vowel = A Character
ㄱ + ㅏ = 가 [ga]
ㄴ + ㅏ = 나 [na]
ㄷ + ㅏ = 다 [da]
ㄹ + ㅏ = 라 [la]
ㅁ + ㅏ = 마 [ma]
ㅂ + ㅏ = 바 [ba]
ㅅ + ㅏ = 사 [sa]
ㅇ + ㅏ = 아 [a]
ㅈ + ㅏ = 자 [ja]
ㅊ + ㅏ = 차 [tʃa]
ㅋ + ㅏ = 카 [ka]
ㅌ + ㅏ = 타 [ta]
ㅍ + ㅏ = 파 [pa]
ㅎ + ㅏ = 하 [ha]
Now, you can variate vowel
ㄱ + ㅓ = 거 [gə]
ㄴ + ㅓ = 너 [nə]
ㄷ + ㅓ = 더 [də]
ㄹ + ㅓ = 러 [lə]
...
ㄱ + ㅗ = 고 [go]
ㄴ + ㅗ = 노 [no]
ㄷ + ㅗ = 도 [do]
...
ㄱ + ㅜ = 구 [gu]
ㄴ + ㅜ = 누 [nu]
ㄷ + ㅜ = 두 [du]
...
ㄱ + ㅡ = 그 [geu?]
ㄴ + ㅡ = 느 [neu?]
I think this phonetic symbol [eu] does not explain well.
You can hear how to pronounce the character "으" from this video, at 13 second
https://youtu.be/RleyjyRZh-A?t=13s
ㄱ + ㅣ = 기 [gi]
ㄴ + ㅣ = 니 [ni]
ㄷ + ㅣ = 디 [di]
...
Examples
Just by what you've learnt so far, you can read out some real words
사자 [sa ja] (Lion)
나비 [na bi] (Butterfly)
고수 [go su] (Expert)
바다 [ba da] (Sea)
가자 [ga ja] (Let's go)
소 [so] (Cow)
Questions & Feedbacks are absolutely necessary for what to do next.
:-)
Ahhhh, great introduction. Thx for getting started so fast!
Are there only 2-symbol combinations or do you get 3 and more?
Next thing that would be interesting to me are some basic phrases, like "my name is ...." "Where can i buy bread?" "Why do you pick Aatrox?"
Combinations can be 3 or more, up to 4.
Combination of 3:
ㄱ + ㅏ + ㄴ = 간 [gan]
Combination of 4:
ㄱ + ㅗ + ㅏ + ㄴ = 관 [gwan]
I looked up the "eu"/"ㅡ ". For me the "eu" is fitting, because it is the same as "eu" is pronounced in German, German pronunciation is very close to phonetics in generell :3
^^
Do all combinations have to start with a consonante?
Yes. Always.
