My entry to @txatxy’s flower contest #kolegas is a beautiful wild plant, shaped like a slipper, found in the forest,
Lady Slippers
I found the lady Slippers hidden among the spruce and birch trees a few weeks ago and today they were still in bloom.
Lady Slipper is the Provincial Flower of Prince Edward Island and it is illegal to dug them up.
There would be no sense trying to transplant them in the flower garden as they will only grow where they want to be - in the forest.

Well they are very pretty! I've never seen one before but have heard the name and it fits them quite nicely..get it? fits them..lol! Okay not so funny but they really are pretty. Thanks for posting a photo of them Jo!!
