This is a side view of the Painted Lady Butterfly.





Last summer there was a record number of these delightful butterflies on Prince Edward Island.

2nd Entry:

My second photo entry for the contest is the Painted Lady Butterfly with wings opened on a sunflower.





The Painted Lady wears splashes and dots of colors on her wings. They are often mistaken for the larger Monarch butterfly.

I’m looking forward to seeing these lovely butterflies again this summer.
