RE: How to Keep Going When You Want To Quit
Good post. I'd add: just don't tell anyone you're failing and giving up -- if everyone has the image of you succeeding and persevering, you don't really have the option to quit.
You raise a good point saiku. We can think about the option of failing but it is best to remain strong. Besides, usually most of the negativity is only transitory and we do better focusing our mind on what is possible and searching for solutions. Thank you for your helpful comments.
I agree saiku. I've found that what happens is often 1) you feel down because of some real-world event, 2) you evaluate what to do, 3) you feel pretty depressed. 4) you eventually figure out how to solve it, 5) you take action and overcome it, 6) you're back stronger than ever having gone through the "yuck" and having become a better person.
If you tell the world in or after step 3) that you're feeling terrible, you can do damage. Best to keep quiet there or confide only in trusted sources at that point. Once you're out, you're back to normal and it is best to not have a world of people thinking that you're still in a dire situation.
Thank you for sharing saiku! I appreciate it.
