if you are travelling to Kathmandu(traffic)

When a potential tourist thinks of kathmandu he seems to expect the picture above.
Dont get me wrong even after the devastating earthquake where many temples broke down. We still have a lot to keep you busy. Along with temples ,stupas,poverty and mo:mo(Popular nepalese dumpling which we might have improvised the recipe from chinese. Still ours taste better :p) there are some lovely places in near viciny of kathmandu itself too.
the picture is of nagarkot which is just 40-50km from kathmandu . This is one of the most known weekend spot for youngsters cause it is so cheap.

I was raised up in kathmandu . It was a beautiful city , it still is but overpopulation and centralization happened. Throw in bad urban planning .the this happens . *
Wait for busy office hours and you get to see this.

But thats not the wrost of it. Roads are expanding roads sounds fun and necessary i know . In reality its a mess, roads are covered in dust ,2 days without face mask and you get dust infection. I mean its been more than two years when they started expanding roads. They arent even halfway done . When you reach your important business meeting you are covered in dust from head to toe . But you still thank the god that it didnt rain yesterday because puddles and mud come in play.

Note : if you have any infection regarding dust or couldnt bear with it stay away from kathmandu or be prepared to rent a cab .
But the best part about visiting nepal should be hiring a bike and riding it . Roads are mess but if you are a real biker you'll take up the challenge.
Plus there is himalayas to consider ,along with lumbini and ectera.
