Information Finding Championship - Season 1 : Round 25 (I don't Qualify, but I am Playing)

Catch Up Round!

Catch up rounds are designed to help new players or those who haven't won a round yet. So, you are not eligible to win this round if you have won a round already, but feel free to join in the fun! That is me, in the italicized bold print, just having fun.

Well it's Friday the Thirteenth, Fourth month of the year 2018. maybe we need a Numbers round like the Etymology round. I like thirteen. I think it is a cool number. I Also think it is the most important number in existence. But that really has nothing to do with my post, other than It was Friday the Thirteenth that I took all these pictures.

Here is a small picnic table with a pretty nice view for people to take a rest. It is actually a pretty nice spot, although I would imagine that at times it can get pretty dusty, being close to a dirt and gravel road and has a dirt and grave parking lot area. But in Alaska we get used to it being dirty.

Here are a few of the rocks and a spruce tree, separating the picnic table area from the entry way and the parking area.

Thus began our Friday the thirteenth outing. Next stop was all about brains. It is always nice to begin a journey with a nice relaxing break as above, but we at IFC are always out to learn something, and I found a few oddities to take pictures of.

In order to learn anything new sometimes we need to wash all the dirt and garbage we have collected over the years as truths and facts, out of our systems, then we need to pump it full of the good stuff, the real truth, and the real facts. And that sometimes means getting our hands dirty and mining for the old school knowledge that is out there.

And so our journeys continued, we learned a lot at the rock and nick-knack shop, they have a lot of rocks, and a lot of well just stuff. Lots of stuff. The kind of stuff you don't see elsewhere. We continued our travels down the road.

We arrive at the beach, a sandy beach, very few rocks. But lots of things to look at, to see, and to enjoy, no other people at all we had the whole beach to ourselves, and the seagulls, and a couple of eagles.

It was pretty nice to watch the Seagull, playing tag with the Eagle on the beach. That line kind of brings me back again to the Word meaning round, Like I mentioned above about numbers, only this time it was about sounds. I generally talk in my head to myself while I am typing, and it struck me how similar the endings of Seagull, and Eagle sound so much alike. Maybe a like sounding word game in the future. Any way to continue with the day, That is a young Eagle the Seagull is playing with. Here are a couple more bird shots to close out this bird brained, it don't count post.

For being a Friday the Thirteenth my wife and I had a pretty nice day. Sun was out, and second day in a row that we got to 50 degrees fahrenheit. Spring is rapidly onsetting for us. The snows are melting away, most of the snow is gone from all but the least traveled roads, and the street sweepers have been out in force filling the air with minute dust particles as they remove the winters sands and gravels from the roads. I hope you all had a nice day also.

Remember the IFC is mostly about having fun. I hope a lot of people will give their ideas on what type of contest content they would like to see. As you can see @apolymask has already created several rounds on what people have suggested.
