IS JUNGLE JUSTICE A WELCOME DEVELOPMENT ?

in #junglejustice6 years ago

Jungle justice is a practice where alleged criminal is seriously victimized, got beaten, humiliated or in most cases killed /murdered with no respect to judicial act

Jungle justice Is a circumsistance in which an accused criminal is killed with immediately effect without following the judiciary protocol

I got afraid the first time I witnessed this....
On my way going to a supermarket to purchase some goods, suddenly I heard a echo of noise I take some steps toward the direction to witness what is happening surprisely I saw a group of people beating an alleged criminal up to the extent that he's not having the strength to respond to anything which he eventually died, accidentally he is not a criminal he only hIMG_20180101_021720.jpgad the same stature, look and appearance with someone who came to bugged/rob a shop around the market square few days ago which later leads to another issues and almost ended in Roit, thanks for intervention of the policeman.
Jungle justice is an act common in Nigeria, Gambia, Tunisia, morroco, ethopia guinea, Niger, Gabon, and Ghana most especially the northern and eastern part of African continent which is against the rule, intoto, and protocol of judiciary and the government at large.
Immediate Killing without making adequate findings is tatamount to injustices, illegal killing and totally uncalled for.
Even if a criminal was catch I believe a policeman have to be invited to intervene to the case, making necessary investigation before making their decision. instead of involving in jungle justice (immediate killing ) why not taking up the matter to court for proper accusations, though i understand the plight of the owner whose goods or property are been stolen or damaged but proper deliberation, consolidation, and consultation we yield an encouraging and befitting results.
This act is very bad

reasons why some involved in jungle justice

🌼corruption on the part of the force men
🌼intensity and hot tempered
🌼continous bugging a certain areas without any solution & strategies to cob it by the force men
🌼political influence and involvement, thugs being sponsored by politicians can still be released even when the matters are taken up and forwarded to court
🌼terrible, poor and corrupt judiciary arm ( the lawyers and judges)

Reasons to shun jungle justice

🌼to allow proper investigation
🌼to aid efficient and effective long lasting solution to the issue
🌼accusing one without legal backup can leads to calamity event
🌼accuser might not be the victim

Above all jungle justice is never a welcome ideas or developments, proper dialogue can get things well done

Thanks for reading
Do enjoy a wonderful day
