ISFAHAN AND SHIRAZ - THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CITIES IN IRAN (TRAVEL VIDEO)

One month in Iran was a part of our journey around the world. Last time I told you about our adventures in Qom - Iran's religious center. This time I would like to share a few facts about Isfahan and Shiraz - two ancient cities, we have visited on our way to Persepolis - the famous historical capital city of the mighty Persian empire.

[1.] Isfahan has a population of 1,583,609. It is Iran's third largest city after Tehran and Mashhad.

[2.] Isfahan was once one of the largest cities in the world.

[3.] It is famous for its Islamic architecture, with many beautiful boulevards, covered bridges, palaces, mosques, and minarets.

[4.] The Naghsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan is one of the largest city squares in the world.

[5.] For everyone going to Iran, Isfahan is a certain stop, and it’s one of the places that you will remember for a long time. It is definitely the most popular tourist destination.

[1.] Shiraz, the capital of Fars, probably dates back to Achaemenid times (c. 550–330 b.c.e.).

[2.] Shiraz is the fifth most populous city in Iran and the capital of Fars Province.

[3.] Shiraz has a moderate climate and has been a regional trade center for over a thousand years.

[4.] Shiraz is one of the oldest cities of ancient Persia.

[5.] Ali Ebn Hamza holy shrine is one most popular tourist attractions in Southern Iran.
