Reach & Scope in a Job Search Project

A Job Search can be Local, Regional or International. In the case of Regional or International there are only a few ways to go about it:

  • Immigration
  • Sponsorship
  • Expatriation
  • EPCM Worldwide Mega Projects Building

There is no more ways that I know of. And each of them requires very specific paths of action & requirements.

Immigration requires to know the local Immigration & Labor Laws of the target Country. Thing that most people don´t even want to talk about and it is the main cause of failures. Markets Dynamics of the Economy and its short/medium/long term performance as well as how advanced it is, is also necessary in order to prepare for the level of competition you will face and the kind of challenges/opportunities it will pose.

Remember opportunities do not search/find anyone: They do exist, but they need to found though hard work

You need to know who you are in terms of the Applications of your Career, What you are looking for? and if that types of Jobs exists. Don`t forget to run your Cost of Living Due Diligence Research, to avoid surprises. Do you have Search Objectives? Do you have a Plan? Do you have a Strategy? Which are your Drivers? Do you know Market Boundaries and Legal/Immigration Labor Law Requirements of the Project?

Sponsorships: This is the most elusive of the methods, and believe by many to be the Golden Route to Rome. FALSE. It is the most difficult one and of lowest probability, since it depends on the Host Country having Strong Scarcities and Candidates to have, in most cases, an advanced STEM Degree with at least 10 years experience, heavily centered around one specialty. It is not a piece of cake. But People don´t want to face it. They just dream about having one.

Expatriation: is the process by which a Company exports one of his employees to another country. Generally Expatriaton is about Top Managers or very specialized professionals. Companies do not expatriate anyone from the Open Market. You must be an internal employee first. Sorry....

EPCM Worldwide Mega Projects Building: is reserved for those Engineers with at least 10 years experience in a given discipline within the Engineering, procurement, and construction Industry. Typically, Engineers move from Project to Project across different national boundaries, where the action is. I called them Mercenaries or Myrmidons, and they are one of my search specialties.

@justinomora i was actually thinking about using here as a platform to look for some potential candidates which will be coming up soon. How do you see steemit placed for a potential platform for recruiting people?

Yes. But we Recruiters need to do our work:

1. Post Real Jobs from Real companies

2. Bring Candidates here as Followers

3. Train them on the Platform

Publish Jobs here and Market them using your regular channels. In my case Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and email 📧 Marketing. Eventually some candidates will be here.

We need to get our Networks in the range of log 4

Currently at Steemit.com I am reaching log 3. External to Steemit.com I am at log 6, but is expensive to reach them all. That is why I am investing in steemit.com

Email marketing went from 1$ per 10k to about $7.5 per 10k. Reaching full log 6 it will cost me $1,000. And that is very expensive.

SendGrid has a plan of 100K per month at $20. That is the one I left. The rest is blasted via Facebook Boosting, which now I don't know if they will filter posts from steemit.com

Ok so when I am ready to advertise the posts, I’ll touch base with you with more specifics about it.
