In the last post i wrote about the masters Oswaldo Fadda and Luiz França and in this i'm continue the history of jiu jitsu in rio de janeiro, today i go talk about the challenges that oswaldo did against the gracie's family, oswaldo was haven't much money for invest in publicity and how solution he decided to challenge the Helio and your team.

There was two challenges. the first was gave in this way, Oswaldo go a the journal and say "i wish confront the gracies, we respect like incomparable opponents, but we not afraid. I have twenty fighters to the challenge", and Helio accepts of immediate, the fights happened in same year in academy of Helio, and for surprise, the team Fadda were the champions, and after this the team got more admiration and notoriety.

The second challenge happened in preliminary of one fight very important in Rio de Janeiro, In this occasion the fighters of Fadda were winners again. one curiosity about the second challenge was than the fighters of Fadda used much leglocks and kneebars, because this, some fighters of team Gracie talked "sapateiro" that means shoemaker with intuite of to embarrass the fighter of fadda team and saying that the technique, is a technique of suburban fighters. that is wrong but at that time, unhappily, was normal.

Same the challenge being Gracie vs Fadda, never occured one fight of Helio versus Oswaldo, both had appreciation for your works and become greats names in jiu jitsu.
