In Magdala a most beautiful church building has been built with a number of different chapels.
This photo is of The Boat Chapel. It has a glass back wall and from inside the chapel you have a view of the Sea of Galilee in the background. It has a unique boat shaped alter. This chapel commemorates Jesus preaching from the boat. The boat is an exact replica of a boat discovered from the time of Jesus as found a few km away when the Sea of Galilee sunk to its lowest during a drought in the 1986. This archaeological find is on display a few kms away in the Yigal Allon Galilee Boat Museum in Kibbutz Ginosar. We visited this Museum and viewed the Boat.
Mark 4: 1 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.

Our teacher Jesus, spoke to the crowds, this replica they have made is really beautiful, with luck and someone can visit that church.
The church is both used for Church Services and for visits. The view of the Sea of Galilee from inside the church is beautiful.
a boat seems a little extravagant given that he could walk on water.
Not extravagant, just practical. I'm sure you can run, but don't run everywhere!
