(ENG/JPN)Koubou Ichi Market At Toji Temple / 東寺の弘法さん

Today, I went to Koubou Ichi Market, who lined up a lot of stalls on the 21st of every month.
Since March 21 is the anniversary of the death of Daishi, Kobo is a fair day on the 21st of every month, and there are about 1200 to 1300 stalls lined up and crowded with many people.
今日は、毎月21日にたくさんの露店が並ぶ、弘法さんに行ってきました。
弘法さんというのは3月21日が弘法大師の命日であることから、毎月21日が縁日とされ、この日は約1200～1300店の露店が立ち並び、多くの人で賑わいます。

Toji temple is designated as a World Heritage site, and it is one of Kyoto's tourist attractions because it is relatively close to Kyoto station. I took a five-storied treasure pagoda.
東寺は世界遺産に指定されている寺で、京都駅から比較的近いことから京都の観光名所の一つです。国宝の五重塔を撮りました。

Anyway, because there were a large number of stalls, a lot of areas were divided by the contents of the plant, the kimono, the antique, and the commodity which sold it, and the shop seemed to gather in that (there is an exception of course, too).
とにかく露店の数が多いため、たとえば植木とか、着物とか、骨董とか売っている商品の内容によってだいたいのエリア分けがされていてその中に店が集まっているように見えました（もちろん例外もあります）。

For example, a tree that doesn't know whether it's dead or bonsai there are a lot of stores that sell moss and cactus, shops of fashionable accessories and sundry goods that seem to have opened in a handmade city, a shop lined with kimonos, antique stores like old toys, pottery and dolls, anyway.
例えば枯木だか盆栽だかわからない木、苔やサボテンを売る店、手作り市に出店していそうなおしゃれなアクセサリーや雑貨の店、着物がずらりと並んだ店、古いおもちゃやら陶器や人形など骨董の店、とにかく店の数が多いのです。

Because it becomes tens of stores only in the shop which I photographed, I put only what I bought with the shop which I shopped today.
撮影した店だけでも何十店にもなってしまうので、ここでは今日買い物した店と買ったものだけを載せます。

At first, I bought two pieces of purple tissue case and 100 yen in the shop which sold various rubbish.
まずはこの色々ガラクタを売っていた店では紫のティッシュケースほか100円のものを２点買いました。

And, I bought five points of 100 yen such as cloth and the string in the shop where the kimono and Spetch were sold.
そして着物や端切れなどを売っていた店で布やひもなど100円のものを５点買いました。

In addition, the one like the pot-laying in the antique shop which was 100 yen even on this desk is four points.
さらにこの机の上のもの100円均一だった骨董屋さんでは鍋敷きのようなもの４点。

And for the material in the shop that was selling the clothes that were remade at the end, three points 100 yen one kimono that seems to have missed remake.
最後はリメイクした服などを売っていた店で材料用にと、リメイクしそこなったと思われる着物１枚100円を３点。

I have used a total of 1400 yen.
What I bought today will be the material of my collage work.
計1400円も使ってしまいました。
今日買ったものは私のコラージュ作品の材料になる予定です。

I went early in the morning because it was not so crowded and there were many shops in preparation, but it was really fun to watch. There were so many interesting things that I would buy in a million units if I had money, and I sold a lot of rare things.
I do not know whether I was able to convey the charm of Mr. Kobo enough in this alone. Please try it when you come to Kyoto.
朝早く行ったのでさほど混んでおらず、準備中の店もたくさんありましたが見ていて本当に楽しかったです。お金があったら万単位で買ってしまいそうなぐらい面白いもの、珍しいものをたくさん売っていました。
これだけでは十分に弘法さんの魅力を伝えられたかどうかわかりません。京都にきたら是非行ってみてください。
