息子がベンジャミナの葉を切ってしまいました/My son has cut Benjamina's leaves!

昨夜、息子はベランダで遊んでいました。やけに静かだとは思っていたのですが…　しばらくすると窓が開き、顔を出した息子が、

「母さん、ベンちゃんの葉っぱが落ちちゃった」

ベンちゃん、というのは私が育てている観葉植物「ベンジャミナ」の愛称です。

私が見に行くと、確かに葉っぱがなくなっています…　しかしどう見てもコレ、自然に落ちたものではありません！そして息子の手にはハサミが。どうやら葉っぱを切ってしまったようです。

Last night my son was playing on the balcony. I thought that it was too quiet.After a while, the window went up, my son gave a face and said.

"Mom, Ben-chan's leaves have fallen"

"Ben-chan" is the nickname for my house plant "Benjamina". When I go to see, the leaves are certainly gone ... but it seems that this has not fallen naturally!

And scissors in my son 's hand. Apparently he seems to have cut the leaves.

このベンジャミナは昨年末、家族でIKEAに行ったときに買ったものです。買ってきてすぐ、大量に葉を落としてしまいました。

慣れない環境に置かれると葉を落とすのはベンジャミナの習性だそうですが、その後なかなか復活しません。

春～秋にかけては育成期にあたるので、なるべく明るい場所と思い、ベランダに置いていました。…が、まさか息子に葉を切られてしまうとは…。

This Benjamina was bought at the end of last year, when I went to IKEA with my family. As soon as I bought it, it dropped a large amount of leaves.Benjamina has a habit of dropping leaves when placed in an unfamiliar environment. However, it did not quite recover afterwards.

It is a growth period from spring to autumn. I decided to place it as bright as possible and I put it on the balcony.No way I thought my son would cut off the leaves.

残り少ない貴重な葉を、息子に切り落とされてしまったベンジャミナ。暖かい季節のうちに、緑が生い茂る姿に戻してあげたいです。

Benjamina who cut off the few precious leaves by my son. In the warmer months, I would like to bring him back to greenery.
