I drew the cicada
Hello steemians!
I am RYO.
I drew the picture.
I have never painted insect pictures too much. But this picture has become a better quality.↓

Binomial name:Tacua speciosa
This is model.

Do you know this beautiful cicada?
cicada description in Southeast Asia.
This cicada has a very flashy color. The reason is same as Dendrobatidae. a Warning colouration.
Dendrobatidae↓

The poison of this cicada is not that strong.
It's okay to touch.
It is predicted that the poison will exert its effect on predators(bard, replies…).
Oh, let's talk about painting, too😆
It took 3~4 hours to complete this picture.
I am not good at drawing objects such as trees and buildings, In other words, it is a scenery.
But I think I could draw this tree well.
I have never actually seen this cicada.
I watch a sometime, This real cicada.
Thank you for reading!🤗

Thank you!
I want many people to know the wonderfulness of cicadas!
I am happy that you are interested! Thank you🤗
Cicadas are awesome! Did you know some species bury themselves at the ground of trees and then come out all at the same time then all fly away to some destination?!
Also interesting drawings, really asian style, I love it!
What that styrofoam board for? And is this paper anything special?
I did not know that!
Cicadas(insects) lifestyle is abundant. Very interesting!
I want to study insects and animals more.
Thank you for information😉
Oh,This Styrofoam is just adjusting the height of the table. There is no special meaning😅
I am using Japanese traditional Japanese paper "washi" for my pictures.
This Japanese paper "washi" is registered as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2014.

It is difficult to explain, but texture is completely different from general paper.
So I am using a "Fude pen" .
