LEaP – Law, Ethics & Practices Partnership / 法律、倫理、実務パートナーシップ
The online legal community, Law Ethics & Practice (LEaP), a not-for-profit organisation, is desirous of having its own blockchain technology platform for many reasons, chief among which is law practice digitisation through smart contracts, creation of own cryptocurrency called LEaPCoin/LEaP Token to crowdfund the LEaP Blockchain Project. The LEaPPay, a payment platform to be used for online legal services will incorporate the LEaPCoin, accept other cryptocurrencies and fiats for transactions as well.

The community already operates as a decentralised "law firm". Thus, both adoption and integration of the Decentralised Ledger Technology (DLT) into the ecosystem are a constructive step towards maximum liberalisation and profitability for the entire ecosystem.
LEaP, as an online community, is made up of lawyers, magistrates, judges, other legal industry professionals, and law students. In number terms, there are more lawyers in the community than others mentioned.

LEaP community generates legal contents from its online lecture and interview series, which the community holds once a week. While its focal point is Continuing Legal Education (CLE) for its members, it also seeks ways in which members can earn, as they learn. To ensure overall community efficiency, and reward members for giving quality online time to help build the community, it has become imperative to integrate blockchain technology into the ecosystem.

If ever there were, there are at the moment, very sparse legislative activities on the blockchain technology in the countries all over the world, save a number of countries where pieces of legislation on the blockchain are springing daily. There are a number of State-specific pieces of blockchain legislation from the United States, and even a number of case-laws as well. The mainstream adoption and integration of the blockchain into systems remain the greatest challenge. Though in such a very short while of its existence, the blockchain technology has gained significant traction, and continues to see growth and development, even as its use cases keep constantly expanding.

Greatest challenge posed to the community as a whole is funding, and this has led to its striking a deal with Funding Villa, to explore mutually beneficial partnership opportunities to both deepen adoption of blockchain use in Africa, and the world at large, while making Nigeria, a centrepiece for the purpose of driving and sustaining the project in the long term.
