アメリカでインスリンの価格が高騰
マイケル・ムーアの「シッコ」という映画はアメリカの医療問題を取り上げた映画でしたが、あの映画から10年以上経っても根深い問題となっています。
インスリン市場がアメリカで地獄と化している理由は製薬会社や規制当局の癒着
インスリンが製薬会社の特許による囲い込みなどによって値上げが止まらず、糖尿病患者にとって危機的状況が訪れています。
保険が適用されても月に1,000ドルもインスリン代にかかったりするそうで、わざわざ隣国のカナダに行ってインスリンを購入している人もいるそうです。
これはアメリカにおける20年間での価格の推移ですが、医療費、教育費、保育日など軒並み高騰しています。お金を持っている人は医療や教育にお金を出せるけど、貧しい人はそこを切り詰めてしまうでしょうね。貧富の差がどんどん広がりそうです。
日本ではまだ幸いなことに社会保障費でまかなっている部分が多いのでアメリカに比べれば平等といえるでしょう。
悪化しているアメリカの医療問題。今後改善されることはあるのでしょうか。 およそ3000万人 といわれる糖尿病患者への対応を急いでもらいたいものです。
