She asked if I'm gonna fund interstate. She might as well ask if I was gonna fund welfare as well. Now, when you study history, you find that individuals would help people more so with their welfare until like the 1930's in America. So, you can read what she wrote and she wrote a few other comments too. The past few days, I've been debating ownership rights with some people. Now, some people believe in no private property rights as they don't believe in ownership. But I believe in ownership for individuals. Now, it might be harder to be an individual without the ability to own something. Some people even claim that a person cannot own himself or herself. That is sad. Some of that comes from collectivism. Now, teamwork is good. Zombism is dangerous. Following the crowd off the cliff is dangerous. It is good to be as independent as possible. Long ago, we didn't have interstate highways in the United States. They were built for the military. People build roads. People do things independently. I promote the free markets. But some people fight the free market while they actually use the free market. And some people will say they don't believe in the free market. That is like saying you don't believe in gravity. She denies What Soros does. This means she doesn't read. She doesn't look at the Open Society. She doesn't follow the money. She doesn't look at who is funding what. She is not following what the UN is doing. She is not looking at what is happening in Europe. The list goes on and on. I don't want to bore you with at least ten books worth of text right here to show you the history of what has been happening for decades now in so many countries around the world. People promote Open Borders & Sanctuary Cities. That is compatibility with the religion of no ownership. And no ownership is demeaning to humanity.

The free market has been around for thousands of years. It is like gravity. You don't have to believe in falling to fall. If I fall off my chair, it has nothing to do with belief. Things happen. We fall. We all know this. Money can have value. Not always. But it can. Does not have to but it can at times. Time has value. Resources has value. Love is very valuable. Like priceless. Are you conflating principles with programs? It seems that you are. I try to talk about principles. There is so much value in individuals making choices on their own towards destiny. Theory of Taxes
Taxation is fine to the extent that government is not corrupt. Taxation is not theft to the extent that the IRS follows the rules and everything. The problem is that it is not that simple. I could write several books about these things. In theory, taxes are great. I love taxes in theory. I love socialism in theory. But we should talk about the real world. We should talk about what is happening in real life. There are so many different things that we should talk about. So, why are you stuck on theory? Why spend all day talking about the hypothetical theory and fantasy fiction of how wonderful taxes could have been if people were good and perfect, you know? Government can only be as good as people can be good. It is that simple. Some people believe people are good. Now, if people were good and perfect, then governments would not be corrupt. Now, earlier this year, my REP may have been at 57 or 58. Then, I flagged down to like 51 or something like that. I have spent the past few months morking my reputation points back up to where it was some months ago.
Classical Liberal Mindset
Why not adopt the mindset of a libertarian or a classical liberal who simply doesn't care what people do as long as they don't violate the rights of other people, right?

Of course, there are different kinds of socialism and communism. However, for the most part, they're simply covers for governmental authoritarianism under the guise of these systems that appear to be fair on the outside. Bad people can lie and say you have private property. For example, in America, if the U.S. government can take land from people, then is it really their private property? Well, it probably should be. I guess it depends on what the laws of the land might say, specifically. But it does appear that the United States government have been violating personal private property rights. For example, people have been arrested for collecting rain water in Oregon. That should be legal. In other words, the government needs to stay out of our business. Another example is within story telling. See, a story has a beginning, a middle, and an end. That is an eternal principle.

The main heart of eternal principles is rooted in the Creator, the Savior, the Sustainer, in God Himself, who is Love. And what is Love then? That is simple.
Grace & Justice
Love is Grace & Justice. Those two things. And that is the heart of eternal principles, to the meaning to life, to everything.
Four Steps in Life
See, in life, you should wait but live life, listen but love life, love but love love, and fight but live love. And those are four key eternal principles that can extend from those two principles of grace and justice which can root the eternal principle of love. So number one, if there was one, it would be love. But that can be expanded into those two, grace and justice. That can be expanded into four things.

Gone For Seven Years
I posted on Love Shack, this online forum website right here, seven years ago in 2012. I started three main threads, two on a girl I knew in America that I liked and a third on a Filipina girl from the Philippines who expressed interest in me, allegedly. I was 27 years old in 2012.
Here is a quick update on my life
For five years, from 2012-2017, I taught English in Vietnam. I didn't pursue relationships with those two women that I wrote about in those three threads here. Long story short, of course, I sometimes have crushes on women that I meet. Emotionally speaking, these kinds of things happen to people. In life, it is crucial to focus on your heart to the extent they align with eternal principles. Why? Because if you don't, then you may fall for anything. Your feelings can get the best of you.
Welcome Back
I kind of forgot about Love Shack until now. So, I wanted to come back and simply say that I've learned a lot since I've been here last. I want to say thank you to the people that contributed to those threads that I created in 2012. Seven years is a long time. I love the number seven. I would tell my younger self many things. The biggest thing that happened is that I returned to America in 2017. So, I'm currently living in the United States. I may update my profile picture, my avatar, here. Of course, I always have more to say. I have more to share. Of course, you can find me on other websites. I'm Oatmeal Joey Arnold.

Dishes. Mail. Brought in my rain jacket form yesterday from the tree punning assistance and got my jacket back into my closet. Oh, key in my pocket. I put that back on the wall.
Cheap
Yes. Something like that. Depending on the barber shop or salon in Vietnam. You can buy a plate of rice for about a dollar, generally speaking for example. Now, around 2012, a dollar was equal to about 20,000 VND (Vietnamese Dong). Some years before that, one buck was was closer to 10K VND. Right now, in 2019, one dollar is worth 23,181 VND. Some Vietnamese people in Vietnam make less than $200 USD a month in the 2010's according to Vietnamese who would tell me this in Vietnam.
Choices
I say that to say that things can change. Feelings can change as well. Love should be based on commitment, choices, priorities, as much as possible. I would tell my younger self that excessive honesty can be bad.
Honesty vs Relevance
Not because honesty is bad but because too honest means you may run into relevance and priorities. In other words, some things might not be relevant. You should not always tell everybody everything. Yes, don't try too hard to lie if asked. But nobody was asking me. I've told girls in my life that I liked them.
All About The Timing
But they didn't ask. Also, I wasn't trying to date them. There is always a time for this and a time for that. It is all about the timing.
If You're Dating
Now, if I was trying to date them, then I should have simply dated them. Of course, as you date, you can eventually tell them how you feel. But it should be gradual. It should be incremental. It shouldn't be too much and too quickly.
Trying Too Hard
In my life, I would try too hard at times to be too honest. I strive towards integrity, transparency, and honesty.
Honesty vs Priorities
However, honesty can sometimes interfere with the value of relevance and that of priorities, those two things. Life is short.
Pick Your Battles
That's right, pick your battles. Think about what you're going to say, write, believe, think, focus on, feel, consider, and do, before you do them. Take it a day at a time. Don't try to scare too many people away too often, generally speaking. Well, some exceptions may apply to some of these generalities, these eternal principles, perhaps. I was a bit too lost at times in life. I was a bit too all over the place at times. I was trying too hard to force things to happen.
Slow Down
I was too in a hurry. Also, I have been very bad at explaining things in my life as well. So, as I grow up, I learn how to explain things better.

But focus on what you are most passionate about. Do some research on the issues you care most about and write about it each day.

Keep a blog. I can talk all day about things.

For example, if Trump is not trying hard enough to fight against censorship for example, then you should write about that.
First Amendment Value
If you value free speech, and if Trump is not trying with all he has to protect the first amendment, for example, then what are you going to do about it is the question. Hey, all of this is a long story.

I left America in 2012 partly because of Obama.

I returned mostly because of Trump in 2017 to the United States.
Only As Trump Helps
I only root for Trump as Trump helps America. See, it is not about Trump. It is about the country I was born in, America. I care about the USA.
Free Market vs Crony Capitalism
I like the free market. I want government to get smaller and smaller. I promote freedoms, liberties, choices, freewill, eternal principles, unconditional love, grace, justice, natural laws, and especially private property rights. I promote family first values.
Don't Outshine?
I guess that it partly comes down to relevance. In other words, some things may not be relevant enough. Well, it depends. but basically, yeah, I agree that you should not try too hard to outshine your supervisor, perhaps, to an extent, generally speaking. Part of that has to do with psychology. Now, you may sometimes accidentally outshine. You may not always know if you will or not. But you can at least try not to outshine if you want. And like you said, when you outshine, then you become a brighter star perhaps. So, it is like putting a target on your back in some cases. Yeah, it takes more work. It can be tougher. It is riskier. Perhaps, for some people, maybe they should at times. But a person needs to understand what he or she is getting into at least. Also, like you said, it can be harder for people to trust you if you're not assisting. In other words, it depends on who is playing which roles. To outshine is to perhaps step on the feet of other people to perhaps steal their roles. So, it is fundamental to maintain trust, relationships, dialog, etc.
Keep In Touch
Exactly, this kind of thing happens all of the time. People are not always trying to change dynamics within their relationships, friendships, etc. However, it still happens. It can be subliminal. It can be subconscious, psychologically. Yes, try to keep in contact with people. That is valuable.
Not Fitting In
That pill is very tough to swallow but the sooner a person can accept that, the sooner that person can find some peace in attempting to move on. Yeah, you may not want potential employers to contact current employers. Sometimes, people can be where they don't belong. The only thing worse can be if you lie to yourself to say that you are the problem. You might not be. It might be them. Be honest with yourself. Try to always remind yourself of your main objectives, your main priorities in life. Too often, we can forget what our main goals are. Also, some of our goals can change. Yeah, you may want to keep your head down in some situations, especially in a situation where you may change jobs. You cannot always help everybody all of the time. Pick your battles wisely.

Also, the film landscape has been changing. In the 2010's, we have seen Star Wars start a YouTube channel. They began uploading trailers to YouTube. People have been uploading their films and their shows to YouTube, Vimeo, Bitchute, etc. You can find Fuller House on Netflix.
Gradual
So, I say that to say that you should try to take it a step at a time. It depends on many different things.
Patient
But the general rule is to gradually work your way up towards bigger projects, different jobs, more work, and everything. Also, accept failure as well. But don't be lazy at the same time. Anything can happen. It can be over night or it may never happen.
Be Ready
So, you have to always be ready for the best and for the worst. So, only spend as much money as you are willing to lose. Sometimes, people make films and they lose money. In 2019, they made the Joker film for like several millions of dollars and Joker went on to make over a billion dollars. Star Wars Solo, however, lost money. That is right, Disney lost some money with that Han Solo movie. Should you be a director before you try to produce? Maybe. But you don't have to. Why? Because each person is different perhaps. There can be exceptions to the advice you may get from people. So, keep an open mind. Always network with people. Stay in contact with people as you may never know when they can come in handy, especially if you are a producer right now or potentially.

Just kidding. I'm not in Hollywood but I made a parody Power Rangers film with family and friends right before my eleventh birthday in 1996 in Oregon. Since then, I've made other videos. I say that to say that I know that people can call you crazy. People try to take control of your money. They may think they know better than you. Maybe they do or maybe they don't. But you need to determine your priorities between maintaining your relationship with family with your career, with filmmaking, producing, directing, in story telling, etc.

My younger self would be tempted to ask that same question in that kind of situation.

I would have said it with a smile on my face, in a curious way. Some people have described me as a smooth operator or a smooth criminal haha. But seriously speaking, I've came across as too negative, annoyed, aggressive, etc, in life, in conversations, as well, sometimes.

I'm 34 years old now and I've been trying to learn how to be less scary to people who don't know me. In other words, I've been the opposite of shy at times.
Shy & Not Shy
Now, I can be shy. I can feel shy. But sometimes, I can turn something inside of me on. But it can be perhaps too aggressive. Looking back in reflection upon my life, I can better understand different perspectives. Of course, I wasn't trying to come across as hostile. But I probably was maybe a toxic white alpha male at times.

I may watch your body language to see if you still wanted to talk or not. If you were still interested, I might even sit down and continue the conversation. I might ask for your name. But I would probably begin to slowly walk away as soon as it was time, eventually, if you were perhaps busy or if you were losing interest or whatever. But I'm not saying I'm an expert in understanding body language and everything haha. But I would at least look for nonverbal cues. I would probably try not too hard to ask the "Why Not" question. I love asking questions. So, I love WHY NOT questions. For example, if Trump were to not stop censorship, I might yell, "YO TRUMP, WHY NOT, WTF?" I'm not trying to be political.
Debate
But I love debate. But some people may not be comfortable with constant and excessive debate. I love debate. But it is crucial to know what kinds of people you are talking to. And different people can be different lol.
Common Sense 101
I mean, Common Sense 101, right? I can be crazy, I know. I call myself the Original Green Oatmeal Joey Arnold. Huh, WTF is that all about? Well, I like oatmeal. I eat oatmeal. You are what you eat.
Try Not to Scare Away New People
But, when you meet new people, they may not be ready to handle that. So, tread lightly as they say haha. Be patient with new people. Be gradual. Be calm perhaps. And Be a Cool Kid if you can.
Pursue Them
If you are wondering, then you could pursue it. Curiosity can kill the cat. But if you're dying to know, then you will die either way, metaphorically speaking. If you don't give it a try, then you may never know. Then you have to live with regret. And regret is worse than failure. We know this. But consult your priorities first. If your main goals are keeping you away from pursuing certain people, then don't steer off that course. But, you can at least attempt to pursue them to an extent. You can try to do both. But you gotta be patient. You gotta be open minded. You gotta accept failure and mistakes. It is that simple. Be ok with failure. If you want to know something, you may want to simply ask.

I'm not going to say she doesn't need to know. It is possible that she needs to know. But at the same time, she also needs to know the answers to the questions on her exams in college. She needs to know which jobs to go after. She needs to know many things. As humans, we may need to know so many things. But life is short. See, a person may not be able to know everything they need to know all of the time. Again, maybe she needs to know and maybe she does not need to know certain things. All of these things can be complex. So, it may depend on so many variables.
Timing
But one step at a time. You should wait for the right time to tell her. But if you are actually trying to date her, then why are you trying to tell her? So, I'm not going to tell you, Baby Joey Arnold, that you should not or cannot tell a girl you like her. And exceptions may apply. But it might be better to wait for the relevance, for the priorities, to align with what you might want to say and do. It is that simple.

See, speaking of not knowing, remember that not only may she not know everything but you may not know everything either. Don't conflate lust with love. Don't let your emotions get the best of you. See, you may not even know if you really like a girl or not. Now, yes, you may have the ability to see some good qualities, attributes, characteristics, skills, features, talents, gifts, abilities, in potential mates. So, when you see a person that personifies attributes that you are attracted to, of course you will begin to gravitate that direction. That's good. You know, that's not bad.

But please commit before you even begin to attempt to date. When you try to court a potential mate, try your best to have a plan towards marriage. You should marry. You should start a family. But in my 34 years of life, I've told women I liked them immaturely. In other words, too soon. It was in the wrong context, the wrong timing. Of course, you can say people do that all of the time. Be friendly to the opposite sex, the other gender. But don't rush it. But also, don't be too slow either. Learn from the past. But don't dwell in the past or in the future. Try to be present in each moment in life.
