Questa notte hai avuto l’ardore di apparirmi in sogno. Un sogno eri tu, nella folla delle strade di New York. Lo sguardo che si è incrociato per un attimo e la voglia seguirti era sbocciata improvvisa e impavida, come un fiore in inverno. Sfocato il mondo intorno e tu chiara ai miei occhi. Catturavo la tua luce con l’avidità che solo l’amore concede ai cuori generosi, offuscandoli. Splendevi nella luce fioca del tramonto. Ed io inerte nella tempesta del tuo mare immenso.

Last night you had the ardor appear to me in a dream. A dream was you, in the crowds of New York streets. The look that crossed for a moment and the desire to follow you had blossomed sudden and fearless, like a flower in winter. Blurry the world around and you clear in my eyes. I captured your light with the greed that only love gives to generous hearts, clouding them. You shone in the dim light of the sunset. And I inert in the storm of your immense sea.
