To say the word Romanticism is to say modern art - that is, intimacy, spirituality, color, aspiration towards the infinite, expressed by every means available to the arts.

Dire la parola romanticismo è dire arte moderna – cioè, intimità, spiritualità, colore, aspirazione verso l’infinito, espressa con ogni mezzo artistico a disposizione.

Romanticismo un termine coniato nel 1800 al quale mi sento molto legato.
Un movimento di respiro mondiale, dove attingono e prosperano tutte le arti del sentire umano.
In contrapposizione all'Illuminismo in filosofia e al Classicismo nella letteratura e nell'arte, affonderà le radici nell'humus dei sentimenti e delle emozioni per una natura amica o maligna.
Il bisogno primordiale dell'uomo verso un confronto con le forze e le bellezze stupefacenti dei fenomeni naturali, porta questo moto di pulsioni artistiche fino ai giorni nostri, investendo rapidamente tutti gli animi sensibili che diventano spettatori del creato.
Eliminando per gradi la fede illuminista con la supremazia della ragione, e nuove aperture verso una esplorazione dell'irrazionale, dell'assoluto.
Lo stupore dell'uomo di fronte alla bellezza sublime della natura o l'impotenza nei confronti di ciò che è incontrollabile, attualissimo scenario del dramma che viviamo oggi.
Chissà se in un futuro prossimo riusciremo a vestirci da eroi romantici e sconfiggere con grandi sacrifici il mostro che noi stessi abbiamo creato
Il 2030 è alle porte, il rialzo delle temperature non si arresta.

Affronterò questo tema così viscerale e profondo in un prossimo post, nel frattempo mi limito a condividere un dipinto ad olio, attinente alla mia ricerca interiore ed estetica, di un mondo sognato, calmo, dove la malinconia pervade il paesaggio fino a renderlo metafisico.
Forse freddo, ma naturale.

Romanticism is a term coined in the 1800s to which I feel very attached.
A world-wide movement, where all the arts of human feeling draw and prosper.
In contrast to the Enlightenment in philosophy and Classicism in literature and art, it will sink the radishes into the humus of feelings and emotions for a friendly or malignant nature.
The primordial need of man towards a confrontation with the forces and amazing beauties of natural phenomena, brings this movement of artistic impulses to the present day, rapidly investing all the sensitive souls that become spectators of creation.
By eliminating gradually the enlightenment faith with the supremacy of reason, and nuvoe openings towards an exploration of the irrational, of the absolute.
The amazement of man in the face of the sublime beauty of nature or the impotence towards what is uncontrollable, very current scenario of the drama that we live today.
I wonder if in the near future we will be able to dress up like romantic heroes and defeat with great sacrifice the monster that we have created ourselves
The 2030 is upon us, the rise in temperature does not stop.

I will address this theme so visceral and profound in a next post, in the meantime I will limit myself to sharing an oil painting, related to my inner and aesthetic research, of a dreamed, calm world, where melancholy pervades the landscape to make it metaphysical.
Maybe cold, but natural.
