Genocide and surrender.

There's a really simple, basic, fundamental element to genocides that makes it clear to every smart person that what Israel is doing in the Gaza isn't genocide.

The element of surrender.

We all know that if Hamas surrendered right now, and released the hostages right now, the bombing would stop immediately after.

In fact, I find it unlikely, given the history and the circumstances, that Hamas's leadership would face any of the Judgement at Nuremberg type charges and trials that they deserve. Hell, one of Hamas's leaders who was involved in October 7th was treated for and cured up brain cancer while serving time in an Israeli prison. Most of Hamas's leadership lives in luxury in Qatar, and Qatar isn't going to extradite.

It's that simple. If Hamas agrees to an unconditional surrender, and turns over the hostages, Israel will stop fighting.

That's a clear-as- day difference.

The Jews in Germany during the Holocaust couldn't surrender to avoid death. The Armenians didn't have an option to surrender to The Young Turks to avoid the slaughter. The Tutsi couldn't surrender to the Hutu in order to be spared the blade.

Likewise, the Jews who were slaughtered on October 7th couldn't surrender to avoid being raped and murdered by Hamas fighters. They damn well tried. But, Hamas is a genocidal group. What we saw on October 7th was an act of genocide that was intended to be far more bloody. There was no throwing your hands in the air and begging for mercy from the Israelis that day. There was no use in saying, "You win. I give up." for the Jews.

There is a, "You win. I give up." option for Hamas that they refuse to take.

They don't take it because the leadership has nothing to lose and everything to gain by letting their people suffer, while useful idiots in he West call "genocide!" on the wrong side of the conflict.
