doesn't it have the same processor as the iphone 8 though? I just worry it'll be outdated in a year and a half like usual then you'll need to buy a new one...at $1k

    It does as per the information available. I haven't compared all the specs since I was only considering the iPhone X. Maybe in a future post.

    Any phone will get outdated in a year and a half. I know many Android smartphone users who change their phones in 6 months or less.
