(This is the same post as we wrote a month ago to correct wrong information from @acidyo)

Hi,
We are working as a partner for IOST to deliver news to the Korean community on Steemit.

We have been here for a long time and have about 1.1 million steam powers as of today.

Since the hard fork in October, our postings started to get downvoted by @ocdb. At the same day of the first downvote, we talked to one of ocdb’s member, and was told that our posts were effortless and worthless. We explained the purpose of us and asked whether you tried to understand the posts. But the answer was just no value. We did not understand his or her reasoning because it seemed like he or her we were talking to did not even know what the post was about. We thought our posts might not be interested in because every post is written by Korean and it is about other altcoin.

We translate IOST's English news into Korean, posting one or two per day on Steemit. IOST foundation is aware of the fact that we post their news here from their Twitter, Medium and Telegram. Every partner of IOST submits a quarterly report to inform what they contributed for ecosystem during each quarter, and we became the Tier 3 partner in the fourth quarter. There is somebody else who knows our effort and contribution.

We really appreciate Steemit community.

Of the 1.1 million steam powers, we are currently using 1 to 2 full-votes for iostkr and rest of them are manually used for Korean community, especially on zzan, kr, and tasteem. We vote for 30 – 50 posts daily.

We've never copied posts from others. However, you might see a similar post on other platforms, such as naver.com(Korean Portal like Google) or daum.net(similar to Naver.com) because we use the Google Translator. Our posts might also be similar to others because there are other partners who translate the same news from IOST foundation and post the news on other platforms. Please do not blame for what you have not known deeply.

We will continue to deliver IOST news to Steemit.
Thank you so much the support.

Well that would explain the identical posts that I also found on IOST Facebook and other blog post, it would not explain why these posts are voted in late and seemed as it was just a means of farming rewards.

At the same day of the first downvote, we talked to one of ocdb’s member, and was told that our posts were effortless and worthless.

This is not true, I nor @anomadsoul have talked to anyone of you about this account. I wrote a post about this and my reasoning for the downvotes which just got downvoted from you and nothing else was said: https://steemit.com/downvotes/@acidyo/the-iostkr-account

I'd prefer some communication next time as well over mindless retaliation and downvoting (especially when the retaliation occurs on random posts that may not deserve the downvotes). Thank you for writing this post in english as well.

Hey, I talked with you on Sep 5 on discord, and you said you were trying to break off some voting rings that you look extracting value from system.

After that, we reduce the number of daily posting to 2 posts maximum daily, but you guys kept downvoting our posts by saying that our posting are effortless and copied and pasted from others which is absolutely not.

Regarding retaliation you keep mentioning, we never downvote someone's post first, but use downvote to keep our posts.

One more thing, use your downvotes whenever you want and whatever you want.
I do not blame for your downvotes I have received because you are doing something you think right.

I am writing this post mainly to correct wrong information on your post that we are copying and pasting and may have a relationship with proxy(?) whom I am not aware of.

That discussion on discord was not about the IOST account, that's why I wanted to correct that information. I noticed this account later and when it seemed to mainly copy posts from other platforms (which usually steemcleaner would detect and downvote but maybe it had trouble doing so because of the language) and on top of that they were being voted on late which seems weird considering you want to promote the partnership and get it as much views as possible it seemed like reward farming.

If you could show some proof of the partnership, the original writer on the facebook/IOST blog post acknowledging that you have the right to cross-post them here then there would be no problem (even though others may still disagree with the rewards) but it wouldn't seem like theft in that case.

The original Discord discussions were about the low amount of accounts you (happybelly - the account that delegated to it) was voting for and we were at the same time trying to break off the low circle of users @sweetssj was voting on as well, so these two are not connected.

As for retaliation, it says way more about you than it does about us. People can conclude our curation and methods compared to yours and then our downvoting and reasoning. It's not hard to check on these statistics to make a decision on who's doing what's best for Steem and who is not.

Just to simplify with an example.

Imagine I spoke german and create an account called @enjinde and it would post blog updates from an official german enjin account which seemed identical, then I would be voting these with my accounts late thus getting no engagement, no attempts of engagement myself (with comments) and (even though this doesn't matter much) it would constantly be powering down the account. On top of that if someone were to downvote me I would instantly use all my accounts to retaliate on their posts without caring if it's copied or original content and any users they may be associated with.

It would not look good.

That's why I made the post linked above explaining my reasoning but instead of communicating about it then it was just retaliation, so while I appreciate the communication now I hope you understand my perspective.

and was told that our posts were effortless and worthless.

While I did say they were of low effort for the amount of rewards they were receiving I didn't say worthless. To reiterate, the biggest problem was that the main voter of these posts was one account who only voted on a few accounts.

Honestly it seems like you're trying to paint us in a bad light with our reasoning of our downvotes and to play the victim here. If that's your goal then I feel like I've wasted my time coming here and explaining my perspective.

I tried to explain to the person I talked to in Discord very hard the EIP and why only voting on a few accounts with most stake goes against it, the rest of the platform have understood it and adjusted their voting behavior to assist Steem and proof of brain while many in your community don't seem to have cared about it. Hope you understand at some point how that is not helping Steem and there's no justifications for how much Steem you've bought or at what price you've bought it, users need to understand that they can't be entitled for post rewards from the rewardpool as that should depend on genuine curation from as many different accounts as possible to enforce proof of brain.

We are not promoting our partnership here to get our posts viewed as many as possible by translating the information of IOST. We are already working as a partner ranked in Tier 3 based on quarter 4. We are working for Korean community by translating IOST news written by English into Korean, and IOST foundation has already known this because we submit our activities regarding translations from their medium and information from twitter.

You may not know this, but this have been already posted on steemit.

I am sorry if you did not say 'WORTHLESS' but you said you were downvoting our post because you believed the rewards should be lower. I cannot make any difference between 'WORTHLESS' and 'lower'.

Regarding the few account voting our posts, we have around 1 million steem power and use 2 full votes for our posts and about 80% of voting power for Korean community and sometime for some posts that looks good.
I have nothing to say if 2 votes still make you feel bad however we are trying to spread our voting power for as
many people as possible.

If you cannot understand a post because of language barrier, please contact the author first before casting downvotes that make the author feel bad.

You seem like making yourself nice by using a word "retaliation' for others but you are the same. After I downvoted some of your posts in return for downvotes you gave, you guys downvotes our posts as well.

Period.

While no one is immune to wanting to do some retaliation mine was more justified considering the posts I mentioned in my post about this account were copies.

So you're saying you are the same person as the IOST Facebook and blog account I linked to in the iostkr post I wrote? I.e. your translating english posts from IOST onto facebook, the blogsite and here on Steem? If that's the case then there's no problem. To me it seemed like the example I mentioned in my other comment, where someone could have just been copying posts from others without their knowledge and consent.

I agree people shouldn't downvote posts they can't understand and I have not been engaging in that downvote activity myself. In the past @ocd had a team of Korean curators so that we could curate good and original Korean posts. Our downvotes initially were to break off the closed circle voting which doesn't matter much about the quality and effort as it went against the EIP. I'm happy to hear you're spreading your voting power further as that helps Steem and your own Korean community to grow.

Another thing I am against is downvoting posts to 0, the point of the downvotes is to make it less rewarding to self-vote than to curate others, here of course retaliation and emotions of downvotes often comes in the way so I'm hoping that will improve over time. I hope we can have more healthy downvotes and discussions about them in the future, the majority of us using them want what's best for Steem, not to make things personal or split the community up even further.

Thanks for the discussion.
