@cryptoctopus in my opinion, for a newbie it's better to buy steem power first and then indulge in authoring and curating. Reason is that if steem power is less then visibility is less and viewers may not be interested in commenting or upvoting posts. There are many people who upvote and comment for rewards. So if a newbie invests on steem power then people will flock to upvote and comment for getting rewards. But in the long run, good authors and curators and big investors will win. I guess that ok if authors and curators are getting paid for Thierry hard work. Everyone is happy. This is my opinion only sir
