Some investments require more management/monitoring than others, but one must never forget about own investment and completely trust another or a computerized entity, even if the operator's/manager's intentions are good, actions are still prone to errors.
The idea for this thread came to me from seeing some of the bidbots' owners and operators complacency in light of the recent STEEM blockchain downtimes and gaslighting by steemd.com.
The conclusion is valid in a more general scope, not restricted to bidbots operation.
