So ... New Guy, Here!

Hello!

My name is Glen. Still getting used to this markdown stuff, but I am a student of steno, a once-upon-a-time technical writer, and a not-very-current web developer.

I spend far too much time playing chess instead of working on my steno but I have decided that maybe I should probably steno more and ... you know, chess less.

I put the tech writing and web development skills together and started a website a few years back that appears to be rather popular with my fellow court reporting students and a few working reporters, so that's good -- though it is overdue for a serious update, but I'm going to blame Google for that, because Google keeps telling me that my website "isn't mobile friendly."

Working on it.

... and no, that's not me in the picture up there.

Well. Turns out my dinner isn't going to cook itself, so ...

Welcome, Glen, steno buddy.
I'm fairly new here too, but I see the value in this place and cryptocurrency in general.
I've heard the best thing we newbies can do here is to comment, comment, comment on others' posts. Build a presence. Create the occasional post. And continue to comment, comment, comment.
I've gained 35 followers in less than three weeks!
Invest in Steem dollars and build your Steem power. Read up on all of it. It's rather complicated and an outside-the-box concept. I love that about it!
Anyway, best of luck to you here, and I'll see you around the steno water cooler. :)

Ha ha ha! Thanks Tari! I will try to vote on a few comments, but unfortunately, I am supposed to be working on a transcript. You know the type -- witness that mumbles and appears over the phone?

Thankfully it's only 25 minutes, but still!
