My Introduction - What I Want To Do Here At Steemit

This Is Me & My Family,

My wife had her first son from another marriage - the young one was at that time only 3 months old, and this photo was taken on the morning of our civil wedding.

For the past 26 years, I have had my fair share of guiding and coaching individuals as well as groups of people in transforming themselves.

Yet in 2015 after 58 years of being told by the medical establishments that due to a low sperm count I will have to content with not having the privilege of a child, on the 17 of June 2015 my son was born. Here he is now...

What follows now, is a personal transformation on my own self regarding my physical bing/health.

For the past 45 years, I have been involved in exercise. I started off with Martial Art at the age of 15... then added weight training as a supplement to gaining strength in my strikes.

Along the first half of my life, training was consistent and all went well... then the change of jobs and lifestyle started to have its toll on my workouts and so I was rolling on a yo-yo system of training - that is one month I am all out doing my workouts, then on other months nothing at all...

Travel and other job-related challenges would find me losing out on my programs... thus creating a rise and fall of my body weight. After the birth of my son in 2015, I started caring for my son, (not an excuse) and stopped exercising as I normally would and with the exotic Island food in Seychelles, the bulk began to appear in the worst place that we all know - THE BELLY!

Of course along with this came it moods of depression and frustration. So, finally, there comes a time in everyone's life whereby we get the wake-up call that emotional alarm bell whereby something inside of you clicks and says: “enough is enough”.

With my son getting bigger and his energy increasing on a daily basis, the demands for me to be in shape became more appropriate, thus... I had to TAKE ACTION!

I have inserted the picture above in the way I did, just so that one can see the transformation I have gone through in the May/June 2017. If you find that you are at the same threshold as I was then, and fill the need to take action too, I will be posting extracts from my book ‘A Life Extension Guide’ for 2017 and beyond!

Long Life To You!

Part 1:

What Is Aging?

First, we need to talk about what the aging process actually is. In humans, aging is a process that begins at approximately 25 years of age in women and 28 years of age in men. Long debates have existed in the history of medicine over whether aging is a disease or a natural process.

Most people think of aging as natural because it happens to everyone. However, there are other creatures found in nature that does not age. Their body systems do not break down like ours do. Even among humans, there seem to be some people who are more immune to the effects of aging, while others fall victim more easily. For these reasons, some scientists are now beginning to think of aging as a disease. With this in mind, a serious search is on for a cure.

The top five causes of death in the world:

  1. Heart disease 2) Cancer,
  2. Stroke and 4) Lung disease 5) Diabetes
all directly linked to aging. Of the top 15 causes of death, only four are not related to aging:
  • Accidents
  • HIV
  • Suicide, and - Murder.

Altogether, aging-related diseases are directly responsible for the deaths of roughly 77% of the population of the world. Are these deaths preventable, and should we stop them if we can? My opinion is a big “YES!” on both counts.

If you or a loved one had a major medical condition such as cancer, heart disease, etc., would you settle for anything less than the very best medical care for those conditions? Of course not! If there was a treatment that could reverse Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, osteoporosis, atherosclerosis, or diabetes, who in their right mind would turn it down?
For example, for a few years now, scientists have had a very good understanding of the basic mechanisms behind cancer. Cancer is caused by physical, chemical, or viral damage to a cell’s DNA.

This short-circuits that cells ability to control its own growth and act as part of an organism. It becomes a group of rogue cells reproducing as fast as they can, stealing the resources of the rest of the organism they are a part of. If you ask any physician if cancer is preventable, the answer should be a resounding “YES”.

OK, so how do we stop this damage from occurring? Natural Eating, Exercise, and Relaxation Response Techniques (Meditation) can prevent much of the damage. You can control this damage by eating foods that are high in antioxidant molecules, and by eating fewer calories.

Exercise can reduce the damage by improving the efficiency of your antioxidant system and speeding up the elimination of wastes from your body. Relaxation Response Technique can reduce stress related issues, many of which cannot be obtained through diet and exercise alone.

Other sources of damage to the molecules in your body include smoking, alcohol, and pollution. The amount of damage to the human body caused by cigarettes and alcohol is truly amazing and is a testament to how good our repair systems actually are.

Environmental damage from air and water pollution is also a problem. And if you are constantly exposed to occupational hazards on the job, you should take all safety precautions necessary to protect yourself. Air and water filters in both your home and business are always a great idea considering the levels of environmental toxins we are exposed to.

Thus, do we need to wait for scientists and physicians to make more sense of the aging process? Of course not, since every week another stunning breakthrough is announced.

Biomedical knowledge is advancing more rapidly every year. This booklet is a practical guide to what you can do now to slow your aging. This might be critical because the cure for what ails you could be literally lying around in your kitchen!
