FamCore Introduction
It is with great pleasure that I write this Introduction, as I am a new member of Steemit, and have heard great things about it so far.
I am an avid investor, researcher, and writer who focuses primarily on geopolitics and world events, as well as precious metals and the global financial markets (although I live in the United States, so I also most heavily research American affairs as they relate to the markets).
I am a frequent poster on the site AboveTopSecret.com (under the same handle).
I've been aware of the Central Banks' stranglehold on our global economy for about a decade now, and my research has only led me to realize that the corruption and intentional devaluing of currencies is even worse than I could have imagined.
The major power brokers and financial institutions are very effective at keeping the value of precious metals below their deserved values by flooding the market with paper "certificates" and through the use of futures. The actual physical metals would be priced much higher if these certificates (which are supposed to represent "real metal" somewhere else) actually had physical metal backing them up, but they do not.
Furthermore, many of the investment banks and hedge funds have the resources and wherewithal to keep the metal prices lower to further their own agendas.
Corrupt politicians and lobbyists have sold out Americans' freedoms and interests to the highest bidders and the middle class is being wiped out.
That's why I love technology and connecting with people all over the world. I live in Vermont, also known as "The Green Mountain State", and because it is such a small, rural state when compared with the rest of the US, it's almost like living in a little "bubble". This is partly why I've been so fascinated with global affairs - I'm able to see a small picture of the world outside thanks to the technology we have today.
Anyway, that wasn't as eloquent or mind-blowing for my first introduction, but I wanted to share a little bit about myself and open the floor for anyone who wants to comment. I look forward to seeing what Steemit and this community has to offer.
I found out about Steemit from Gregory Mannarino, an investor whose Youtube videos I watch periodically.
Thanks for reading.
PS - the photo below was the centerfold in an international parkour magazine called "Jump Magazine" by Urban Freeflow, from the February 2012 issue. It is a photo of myself doing a backflip/aerial at the Lake Champlain waterfront in Burlington, Vermont, close to my home.
Saluton and welcome on-board. Don't break your neck. We need people like you!
Followed! Love the backflip photo. I'm recovering from a severe spinal injury and folks like you are my inspiration. Thank you and Steem On!
Frank! I truly appreciate your kind words - I'm so sorry to hear about your spinal injury but it's encouraging to hear that you felt inspired by the backflip photo. It's truly something I love to do but it is catching up with my ankles and knees. If you want to check out some other pics I'll be doing a bunch of other posts in the future, and this is the first of many (all photos of backflips, handstands, other aerial moves all photographed of myself performing in Burlington, Vermont): https://steemit.com/famcore/@famcore/backflip-photos-and-other-aerial-human-phenomena Hope you take a look my friend. Wishing you all the best.
