My First Post

Hi everyone, my name is Penny and I am so glad I have found you all.

As always, I am late to the party but am so glad I have found this fantastic community. I really hope I can add something great here. But looking forward to trying anyway. So without further ado, please let me introduce myself.
About Me
I live in the UK with my partner and my 3-year-old dog. She is a Patterdale Bedlington Cross and mad as a box of frogs.

And I wouldn't be without her!
My Professional Background
I work full time within the telecommunications industry, which is as interesting as it sounds. Before that, I was in the British Army which I loved. I have done many fun things away with the Army including walking, orienteering, skiing and sailing. Yes, I did some work too.
My Interests
I love to walk and go away camping. We have got one of those cars that you can sort of use as a camper van which is awesome. All the fun and you can still get into car parks. Love going to music festivals and just listening to live music. I still love to travel but just can't do it as much as I would like now. I follow cycling, rugby league and rugby union but not necessarily in that order. I also like to garden and grow my own vegetables though I am not terribly good at it. If we had to live on what I grow, we would have starved to death by now. Despite not being able to grow food, I am interested in recipes especially ones you can cook when out camping.
My Projects
I love to write, and so I have a blog. I am also working on some fiction and nonfiction books. Clearly, my big project at the minute is investigating this great community. I really am so pleased to be a part of it. Well, thanks for reading this post and I am looking forward to getting to know many of you.
