Kickass Ways to Write Your Introduction Post: I Regretted My “IntroduceYourself” Post and I Don’t Want You to Make the Same Mistake

It took me a day or two to complete my #introduceyourself post. I wanted it to be perfect. I wanted it be spectacular as I know that it will be my best gateway to my Steemit success.
However, I was so uptight then. I was informed that I need to write simple introduction about myself and my background. Also, I have to display a cardboard or a paper with my written username and date of joining. I was so careful not to disobey the rules or disappoint my readers only to realize that what I was doing is only defeating the very purpose of Steemit; which is to have fun while being yourself in front of the entire Steemian community.
It took me a day or two to submit my first post as I want to take my picture in one of the beautiful destinations in my hometown. So, you see, I focused on having a decent picture to post with my introduction instead of focusing on conveying to my readers who I am as a person and as a writer.
I like photography but it wasn’t really my best skill. I love writing. I speak in metaphors and I would rather write a story than fake my smiles in front of a camera. Focusing on what picture to use on my steemit #introduceyourself post does not really showcase my potential. If only I could turn back the time, I would write a more informative and sensible post instead of spending my entire two days choosing the best spot to take pictures or choosing which picture to use.
Yes, it took me a day or two getting the perfect picture for my post while only spending 30 minutes (max) for my actual introduction. I may not be able to turn back the time but such mistake brought me a very important lesson. Always put your best foot forward.
There is nothing wrong in honing your other skills but never let them overshadow what you are capable of. So, check the following pointers for you to have a more successful Steemit experience.
- Be Yourself
- Know Your Potentials and Skills
- Accept Your Areas to Improve
- Hone Such Weaknesses

The Steemit community is very welcoming. There really is nothing to be afraid of when showing your true self. After all, we are here to not just make money but also to build friendships and maintain the oneness of this community. We can only do this by being true to ourselves and to the rest of the Steemit population.
So, readjust your writing styles and your approach according to your own preferences. Never try to fit in to this world according to how others would like it to be. You are a part of this world and your uniqueness makes the entire Steemit society a lot more interesting.
Be you my dear Steemian!

Thanks for sharing this! I am also new to steemit and was overthinking how to create the "perfect" introduction. I joined and posted my #introduceyourself blog last night after I overcame my fears about how it would be accepted. It's out there now and here I am. I'm glad I found your blog to follow. Have a Happy New Year!
