35 Random Facts about Me #INTRODUCEYOURSELF - Get to know me better !! :)

When I first started writing this ,I almost convinced my self that no one in their right mindset would care to read about random things having to do with me .but before the launch of my blog , I've revisited the idea and somehow managed to convince my self that someone may,indeed care to read random facts about me because well, I ended up writing a list of 35 instead of 20 as I originally planned .

I figured If nothing else , it may help you to get to know me better and in the end if you feel compelled to tell me about your self, I can get to know you too.I love getting to know people and specially connecting with those like minded. now here's to a very random 35 facts about my self in no particular order that will make any sense.

1.I was born and grew up in Sri Lanka until I was 23 and moved to England 7 years ago. ( Congrats ! You've just figured out my age lol)

2.When I was young, I've been told by a palm-reader that I will be travelling the world when I grow up.. ( Now I know where I got my inspiration from :p)

3.I used to be a Vegan since 2016 for ethical and environmental reasons, but I fell off the wagon big time when I started my Europe trip last Summer .Even though now I'm back on the track, still feel guilty for not sticking up for what I believe in.

4.I'm a sucker for Srilankan food.especially rice and curry, and also kottu ( flaky flat bread mixed with vegetables served with curry source) If You visit Srilanka ,Please try it once and You will never look back :P

5.Speaking of food ,My least favourite food is Pumpkin in any form, Yuck!!

6.I hate the sound of chewing gums and loud eaters to the point I just wanna slap the food out of their face (Rude!I know )
7.I have a major phobia of needless that I can never get a tattoo. almost made into the tattoo studio 3 times in last 6 months and now I've given up ! lol

8.I've never been out of Sri lanka until I moved to England at the age of 23. in fact I've never even been out of my home town without my parents or at least an older sibling until I was 19.( talk about being over protective and still remember how much I hated my Mom lol )

9.It is my goal to become a zero waste - minimalist one day. I'd say that I've probably cut down on my plastic usage 99% but I'm still working on that 1% . It's the little things like re-use , re-purpose, etc makes a big difference.

10.I hate heights but don't hate flying though( weird right?) flying doesn't make me as scared as jumping off a cliff. but still I want to try skydiving .

11.I love walking barefoot besides all the weird looks I get every so often.

12.If You couldn't tell already I may be the worst writer in the world.But I love blogging and how convenient is that ?

13.A total stranger bought me my first ever Oyster Card ( travel pass in UK ) which I still use .

14.I'm obsessed with Doctors.

15.I have never seen Lord of the rings, Hobbit or Game of thrones (.I don't know if the society will accept me now !:p)

16.I'm terrified of Snakes .I can't even look at them in pictures.

17.I love animals but I can't hold any ..It's a phobia which I really can't explain why

18.If I was ever granted with just one wish, I'd wish nothing but the world peace .

19.I try to live by the words " NO pain no gain " but I hate gyms or working out. (seriously)

20.I love the rain! Guilty as charged, as a matter of fact, I love the sun as well! I love life the way it is, whichever way it presents itself. If it is raining, I enjoy being drenched and when it is not, I enjoy the warmth!

21.I am an introvert but I can be extremely sociable if I choose to be, conversation flows through me like water, and I do enjoy intellectual stimulation (however, I notice I do run out of energy after a certain point) hence, I do balance my days in a manner most conducive to my goals.

22.I prefer sea beaches rather than mountains. Sea shores are calming. Walking on the beach at midnight is my favourite activity any day.

23.I believe in adoption and it's my dream to adopt a little human someday. I think adoption is a beautiful thing as it gives home, parents and family to an unfortunate child and a child to the parents. In adoption, the parents really want a child and go through a lot of process to get a child. It is a win-win for all those involved.

25.I love memes. Doesn’t everybody? Tag me in a meme and I will love you forever. Forever? ok!

26.Winter used to be my favourite season but not anymore. I despise cold

27.I'm really not a morning person unless something exciting is happening like going on a holiday. then I just won't sleep at all.

28.I have a really bad SWEET TOOTH and Chocolate is my weakness.

29.I've been learning Deutsch ( German) on and off since 2010 and I still can't speak it.

30.My favourite colours are black and white . I like them both equally.

31.I have a lot of male friends,but as long as I'm not dating one,men aren't too bad ;)

32.l dream of the open road , waking up to the sunrise while kettle is boiling in my very own camper van someday.

33.Just one more: as You can tell already , I love adventures, deep talks, camping under the stars and real human interaction.

34.Oh I almost forgot the most important fact about my self. I love COFFEE ! How can anyone ever forget coffee ?

35.I was going to write 20 facts but I've discovered more random things about my self even I didn't know before. And I can't think of one last epic fact about my self to end this post. so Thanks everyone who made it this far.. Thank You for readingl <3
