Gabumon drawing
Hello steemit community!
It's a pleasure to be sharing with you some of my hobbies from now on on this platform. I'll be posting my drawings, art in general, some math lessons, technology advices/news and other stuff that seems interesting enough to share with you like my brother's drawings whose are 200% better than mine, he has so many years of self-taught experience in character design and drawing. Meanwhile I am learning the basics of traditional art my brother is focused righ now on digital art
I'll be posting in 2 languages: English and spanish. You'll find often the english version of 1 post made by me and it's spanish translation on another post. I was trying to include both languages on the same post but it doesn't seem good in my opinion, the post feels heavy and boring due to the amount of paragraphs added only for translation purposes. If I'm breaking a rule of steemit please let me know. I did read a lot before getting started here but any help is appreciated.
Going deep into this post subject. For now I'm drawing anime characters I like and trying different face/body angles. I'm seeing some videos of drawing basics, trying to create some custom faces and drawing other artists characters to practice. Every drawing made and posted by me following references will have a note on post description, if it's a 100% original character the post will have in it's title or somewhere in the description the word "custom", something like "custom character 1" for example.
When I'm using a reference I tend to see body complexity, face angle and character height then I focus on the details. For now I begin my drawing with character's face (I though it was important to mention it since I have seen some videos where amazing artist start with an arm or a leg) To accomplish this task I used a reference which was taken directly from Digimon world 1 anime chapters. Now I can share with you my Gabumon drawing:
