Hi, we are the PAUL family, 1 French, 1 Mexican + 2 little girls, living in Miami Beach and soon travelling around the world

in #introduceyourself7 years ago

Life is too short to live in small apartments and breath contaminated air, for that reason we left Paris, took a plane and moved to Miami Beach in July 2012.

No kids, no responsibilities, it was "maintenant ou jamais" as we say in French.

Miami is a crazy place, really different from the other US cities. Everyone speak Spanish, it’s a melting pot of people coming from all south America…with sunny days all over the year.

Here is a picture of our first apartment's view:

In June 2013, we bought a house that we renovated.

We actually did better that renovation, by building a real family. Colette was born in April 2014 and Josephine in October 2016

Two very different children, both owners of 3 passports (American, French and Mexican).

Why are you leaving this beautiful place? Bored?

NO ! .... but we wanted to fulfill one dream, which is to travel the world, meet new people, new cultures.

We sold our house right after hurricane Irma (thank god nothing happened) and we gave ourself 6 months to think about our trip.

We put our stuff in a storage, moved in a condominium with a nice seaview, waiting to the adventure to begin:

That is the story we will tell you here, our last 3 months in Florida and the travel to come around the world.

Food, lifestyle, travel, jetlag, droning, lost luggages... just follow us to know it all :-)

PS: If you’re planning to move in the USA or more specifically to Miami, please let me know, I would be happy to give you my insights.

Welcome Paul family! Your photos remind me of where I used to live in Australia called the 'Gold Coast'. Look forward to seeing your future content!

Australia (and your neighbor New Zealand) is in our list. Always dreamt about it. When I speak with people about quality of life, Miami and Australia are always listed as the top places to live in.

Yes, you should definitely visit! Hoping to visit Miami later this year. Being in Canada right now I sure miss that warm weather!

Let me know if you need any help to organize your trip. Don't stay in the cold, it's not good ;-)
