Welcome to Steemit and thanks for sharing such a heartfelt introduction. We have a friend who had her son when she was very young - her son's now 18 and they're best friends. As a parent of 2 boys, life can never prepare you for parenthood, whether you're 17 or 40.

I see that you've joined a few communities, if you select "New Post" within the community that you're looking at, your post will appear there and your content is more likely to get noticed. People tend to look in communities rather than searching for hashtags. I'd also recommend finding content that you like and saying "hi" to a few people - similar to the communities, people tend to read authors that they already know.
