About Us – SteemSynergy : A Nurse, A Nerd, and A Talented Artist

SteemSynergy is the first Steemit team from 3 different countries! We knew each other from a freelance job website about 4-5 years ago. We wanted to collaborate with each other again on a new project, but it seems to be quite difficult because we are walking different paths in life. Long story short, one is currently located in Norway, another stuck in Singapore, and the last one stayed in Philippines.

We actually have never meet each other in real life! We are strangers still.

When we found out about Steemit, we believe it is a chance of a life time. We have to get on it! We want to use our different skillset to produce some good content on Steemit. We believe that three minds are better than one. So, here we are.

Meet the team!

The Nurse - Nica

You might wonder, what in heaven's name is a nurse doing here?

Well, hello there, I am Nica - your friendly, neighborhood healthcare provider, living in Norway.

On my spare time, I like to write, do some yoga, and look for inner peace in a glass of red wine. I like to believe that I was born with an Alice in Wonderland book in my hands or any other book for that matter. They said it took just about an hour to get me out of my mother's womb because I was already so eager to read that book. My mother would disagree because she said she owes it to her pushing skills – pushed out four more after me anyway.

My passion for reading developed into writing, and just like most writers, 80% of my writing time is actually spent on watching that blinking cursor on my laptop screen. A Virgo and an ENFJ, I recently learned how to ride a bike in my 28 years of life. Achievement unlocked.

The Nerd - Rick

Truth be told, he is the one who suggested that he be called a nerd. Most people think that getting called a nerd is a bad thing. Here at SteemSynergy, nerds rule! But I guess you already know that.

Meet Rick, the resident ex-internet marketer and web developer based in Singapore. He has been a mobile app developer for 4 years with good entrepreneurial spirit and LOTS of energy on the side. A self-titled bookworm, he has spent most of his time in the library during his university days, earning him a Gold Medal in Software Engineering.

A Pisces, and ESFJ, he spends his free time reading up on new technology and making this world a better, more streamlined place. Alas, for all his great prowess in the technological field, understanding the inner working of Bitcoin and Blockchain, he has admitted to yours truly that he has one great weakness – women. He said, and I quote, “Women are more complex than quantum physics.” Superman was a nerd, no need to say more.

The Artist - Mark

Even at a very young age, Mark, our resident artist from the Philippines, already loved to draw. Born in the Golden Age of comic books and cartoons, he has always dreamed of supping with the likes of Joe Madureira and Hyung Tae Kim.

His very first drawing was a snake with a witch's head. He was 4. Many years later, his drawings evolved into more complex, more colorful, and more arresting works of art. His snake-witch turned into fantastical beasts, warrior women, and peeks into worlds unknown.

A self-confessed geek, Mark has a thirst for learning new things – softwares, programs, and immersing himself in the latest art books. An Aquarius and an ISFJ, Mark is passionate about his craft and is forever working on refining his skill. And that, people, is what makes him so good.

So, what's the Plan?

Currently, SteemSynergy team has a simple plan: Produce high quality content on Steemit.

This is the only thing that we can do now because we are living in 3 different countries and each of us has a full time job. Probably in the future, Steemit can actually help us to pay for the cost of the flight ticket using steem and we can actually meet each other for real. We promise we will pay it forward to the society. ;)
