RE: 'steemadvice.online' is now up and running! Celebrating the launch and introducing the community to the project.

This is a great idea. May I suggest that you include on the home page some information about who the questions are being posed to. Can anyone provide advice or is there a process to choose certain people? Make it clear that the question of the person seeking advice will be confidential and only read by the person (team?) who will respond. Or maybe you can make a choice to either make your question confidential or not. Or maybe you can see the list of advice givers and choose a specific one. Just suggestions. I love the idea.

This a thoughtful idea, though it has been considered quite some time ago.

As of now, there are two advice givers. Rather than using a standard @outlook or @gmail email account, a paid email service was set up to enhance the privacy of those seeking help.

Both I and the other who is involved with this project have separate accounts of our own on Steemit, and the option was explored of revealing those names to help promote our personal accounts further.

However. we feel that this would only serve to cheapen the initiative, so we have opted to retain our anonymity just as those who will be seeking advice will be doing.

How it works at the moment is when someone sends an email to the address provided, it is forwarded to both I and the other involved. We shall decide which questions are best suited to be answered by which person, based on our own personal life experience.

In future, should this initiative prove successful, we would hope to bring new advisers on board with more specific knowledge bases and experiences, ie health. Should this happen, new emails would be set up for specific subjects so that those who are looking for assistant will be sending messages directly to someone who has extensive knowledge in that particular field.

For now, this is more of a helpful ear and words of wisdom offered by a couple of people who have been through a lot in their life and feel they are in a position to offer great advice. What this will become a few months down the line, we shall all have to wait and see.

I do want to stress that anonymity is of prime importance to us and we have explained on the site under the support tab what steps we will take to ensure their identity remains anonymous.

However, it is our expectation that those who decide to use this service will protect their identity from even us, perhaps by using a pseudonym and alternate email account. This way, we would not even know who they are, and would be unable to share that information with others even if we wanted to-- which we wouldn't.

Thank you for the comment and please feel free to share any other ideas that you feel could help.
