Well not really it took quite some years to gain all the knowledge and experience to become one!

Don't know for sure how many years... when do you deserve to entitle yourself as a SEO Specialist?

Started a little 10 years to this date, recruited by a college friend inviting me to join his partnership with a University in The Netherlands. I was asked to manage strategic marketing and Search Engine Marketing projects for small business and retail subsidized by the Ministry of Economics.

At the time did not know much about Search Engine Marketing, AdWords or SEO, but I did now a lot about marketing and I did use GOOGLE ;-)

To shortcut the my resume becoming a SEO Specialist, I've hired a lot of strategic marketing specialists and  Search Engine Marketing specialists to help over 400 entrepreneurs grow their businesses or optimize their businesses.

After roughly three years the subsidized project came to an end. What to do next? My best bet was to continue developing my career within the Online Marketing industry. I ended up starting my ow Internet Marketing Agency "BMC Internet Marketing" Business Meets Customer Internet Marketing. 

At that time (2010) the search volume for "internet marketing" was much bigger compared to "online marketing" and exact keyword domain matches where much more rewarded by Google.
