Introduceyourself: My Intro
Hello! My name is Rick, and I am finally writing my introduction post. I figure the best way to go about this is to post a few cool pictures I have of the kinds of projects and activities I do. I plan on putting out the best content that I can. I am interested by photography, all creatures, self sufficiency, solar power, alternative power, off grid, mechanics, and electronics, just to name a few subjects. Oh, and my newest: Writing and Steemit! I really hope to learn new things, and to show others things they would not otherwise know, or think of. The most important thing in life is a helping, can do attitude! Please comment, upvote, resteem!

Perhaps my favorite tool.
You are such an animal hero! Do you have any more photos of the baby trash panda (well raccoon to normal folk...) he is so cute - you have to do a post on him!
I don't know about all that, but I try! I don't think I have anymore but one of the same that came out worse. I have been looking through my photos and if I find anymore, I will certainly post them!
Cool Pics Man! Do you have any solar chargers that you use for your phone or camera equipment. You seem like you have a very mechanical mind from the way you can fix your vehicles. Glad you are on Steemit.
https://steemit.com/electronics/@rball8970/solar-joule-theif-setup New article I made on my best functional solar setup!
Yes, I have a few setups I can use, though I must be honest, I do not currently use them as much as I should! Winter is a tough season for solar. But I do have plans on permanently setting up three larger panels I have recently acquired. So far I only have small, portable charger like this one. I have another that is simply just a 5volt, .5 amp solar cell soldered up to a micro USB. Another that is 6 cells setup in parallel to give 5v, 3 amps. And many others. I have plans on incorporating solar into my home as soon as possible. I will document and post about this as it happens! I will also post about the setups I have already, and how to build them!
Wow man, that photo of your back yard in an ice storm looks great!
Ziggy looks like a cool cat. :D
Absolutely love that picture! Probably should have put it first! And yes, ziggy is definitely one of the friendliest, and awesome animals I have ever known!
Pro tip: don't use 100% power up as sbd is around 9$ right now you are throwing money away. You can read my post on it if you need more info.
Cheers!
I was thinking that setting up for steem power would help me in the long run, as I plan on sticking around. I did not plan on doing every post this way, just the first few I was thinking. You think I would be better off with the 50/50 still, with my ideas in mind?
50/50 all the way, you are loosing 5x rewards for using 100% power up
Let me rephrase, you are absolutely correct! Wish I could edit these posts back, oh well. Lesson learned. Thank you @runicar
Thank you sir. I do believe you are correct.
In other words, set a post for 50% payout.
At payout, on the internal market, buy Steem with the SBD you've earned from the post.
Then Power up the Steem you've bought.
Under current market conditions this gets you more Steem Power.
