Introducing myself to the steemit community!!

Hi guys my name is Paulo Bassman and i am a Portuguese musician, composer and producer with 37 years old.
My main instrument and one of the greatest passions in my life is the bass guitar!!
Recently one of my good friends and a great musician @pedromrmourato told me about the steemit community and i was completely blown away by the great idea STEEMIT is, and the huge opportunity i have to share my passion for music with people who appreciate and respect music.
I will post about my life as a musician , my life on the road touring and about Bass Guitars ;)

I will tell you a little bit of my story:

I was born in Lisbon on 18th of May 1980 and i was raised between the Azores, Angola and Lisbon.
I was 6 years old when i began my journey in music, encouraged by my father who was also a musician, i had 5 years of training in classical music having as main instrument, the Piano, in the Regional Conservatory of São Miguel – Azores.

At 13 years i began to learn classical guitar in Dramatic Povoense and had music lessons with the maestro François Venturini Piller, at the same time i have entered for the choral group of the College of Vila Franca de Xira, with 15 years i joined my first original band - Lilith - as lead singer.

With 16 years had my first song playing in the Portuguese radio, with 17 years i was invited to play electric bass in the black metal band called ''Prophecy'' and was there i gained contact with the instrument that i have has as most dear and special, Bass Guitar!

In 2005 i joined the band Puzzle with some friends and in 2006 we released the first studio album and the first videoclip, we had 4 songs playing in the national radio and television shows, we still have a couple songs playing in television, the band lasted until 2009.

In the year 2009 i joined Nu Soul Family the band that changed my life, we released our first album – ''Never to late to dance'' and the band's first single with national expression - ''This is for my people'', the Nu Soul Family played on some of the most important musical events of the Portuguese musical scene (Rock In Rio, Sudoeste TMN Festival, Nova Era, Delta Festival, Festival Tejo, BES (Farewell to the national selection) etc..).

The first single of the NSF, ''This is for my people'', reaches the national Tops and is recognized with the MTV award, ''Best Portugese Act'' and appointed by MTV Europe for best european band.

In 2014 i was invited to make musical direction for the artist Master Jake the author of one of the major singles of African music with the theme – ''Jajão'' , the video reaching now more then 55 million views on youtube was a huge success - Jajão.

In 2016 i joined the band of Virgul one of the former lead singers in Nu Soul Family and one of the portuguese major pop artists, in the first tour we played live more then 60 times, the four first singles of the album already have more then 20 million views on youtube and already won a Gold Record for sales.

I have already worked in the studio and production with several Portuguese and international artists: Julie McKnight (Kings of Tomorrow), Guto Pires , Virgul , Dino D'Santiago , Marta Ren , Adelaide Ferreira , New Max (Expensive Soul) , Neyma , Atiba Martin , Master Jake, Ruth Marlene, Jessica Portugal among others
